Under general supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Patient Safety Companion monitors the patient closely at all times and never leaves the patient alone to ensure patient safety. The Patient Safety Companion notifies the Registered Nurse immediately of any patient concerns. When not functioning as a Patient Safety Companion, this role provides clerical support for the nurse's station as assigned.
