This includes initial Radiation training upon hire, annual competencies required for ongoing use and handling of radiotracers, radioactive dose handling and administration techniques, dose verification and charting according to local policies for safe handling of radioisotopes, survey meter training and use to recognize spills and to confirm or deny contamination of areas and personnel, radiation spill response training including clean up and decontamination of area, equipment, and personnel, proper radioactive waste management and training for segregation of isotope waste, and personal dosimetry training upon hire and adherence to dosimeter policies. * Works consistently as a team member willing to assist everyone, crossing modalities when needed. * Follows Infection Control practices utilizing aseptic techniques, observing Universal precautions, and patient safety standards. * Assists with the education of Nuclear Medicine Technology Students and/or health care professionals and participates in the division's quality improvement program for the area. * Possesses a positive work ethic to enhance teamwork in a fast-paced environment and is accountable for actions. * All other related duties.
