Position Summary
City Winery Event Captains will host events in coordination with the Manager on Duty (MOD) to execute the
Banquet Event Order (BEO), supervise the staff, coordinate with kitchen and present the greatest standards
of hospitality to the client and guests.
Overview of Responsibilities
Have a complete knowledge of the BEO prior to the event and be responsible for execution of event
Provide a full breakout of staff responsibilities 30 minutes prior to event pre-shift, with MOD approval if necessary
For events with a Wine Captain, ensure that the Wine Captain is prepped with the beverage needs of the BEO, pull sheet(s), and any coordination they will need to perform with multiple bars, set up and breakdown times for any bars, and tracking of consumption packages as called for by the event. When there is no Wine Captain assigned to an event, the Event Captain will perform these duties
Run the pre-shift meeting with MOD as needed, assigning and explain staff roles
During events with dinner service, ensure that kitchen expo and tableside service of courses is executed properly
Supervise staff during event to ensure they are staying on task and that they are utilizing any down time properly, suggesting early cuts where appropriate
Supervise handling of both rented and in-house materials to ensure they are handled with care to avoid breakage or loss
Any other tasks as requested by Management
Closing Responsibilities
Ensure that the responsible parties for any event are approached within 15 minutes or more of the scheduled event end time to discuss possibility of extension
Communicate with Event Wine Captains and other bar staff that all alcohol service will cease at the scheduled time
Supervise staff and ensure that event breakdown is performed in a manner considerate of the guests
If guests from an event are still lingering or seated 15 minutes after scheduled event end time, politely yet actively encourage responsible parties to assist in guest departure
Upon completion of the event and resetting of the room, lead a walkthrough of all areas used by guests and staff during the event. Upon discovery of a satisfactory cleanup, clock out all staff with MOD approval
Ensure Event Pull Logs and the closed Aloha tab for all event beverage are left on the Beverage Director's desk, as well as a copy made for closing manager's notes
Perform other related duties as assigned by Management and the Beverage Director

THE JOB
The Zero Waste Sustainability Team helps take our sustainability programs to the next level. This role is the backbone and driving force for helping us become zero waste through sorting and educating others. This position will partner with the Venue Sustainability Coordinator and be part of the venue operations team. This is a seasonal, part-time position based on event schedule. Hours per week will vary depending on show schedule and business needs at the time.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Assist in the post-show sorting process of all recycling, composting, and landfill materials
Pull trash and recyclables from various locations in the venue using hand trucks, dollies, golf carts or by hand
Be an ambassador to all Band Members in order to help them understand their role in achieving the venue's sustainability goals
Assist in employee engagement programs such as the water bottle refill station maintenance and, post-show sorting
Engage fans and encourage them to participate in our sustainability programs through activities or education
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Position requires about 90% of the time spent walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting and carrying 50 lbs.+ with about 65% of that time spent sorting materials

Develop, implement, and communicate programs to prevent theft amongst customers and employees.
Participate in initial orientation and on-going training including the computer, surveillance, and alarm systems.

* Determine that the flight crew reports for duty in proper attire and that they are mentally and physically fit for duty
* Maintain a complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems which they are authorized to operate to include all emergency systems and procedures associated with the aircraft
* Secure the aircraft after each flight to include arranging hangar storage if they deem necessary or they are instructed to do so by the company management
* Obtain the most current weather reports, forecasts and NOTAMS from a FAA flight service station or other authorized agency
* File or cause a flight plan to be filed with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility
* Analyze area, enroute and terminal charts for the airport of intended landing and alternates
* Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator {ISC) under the provision of the twelve five standard security program or private charter standard security program as applicable
* Conduct the required passenger safety briefings or assign that duty to the second in command
* Impart knowledge and skills to the second in command to prepare them to assume the duties of Pilot in Command in an emergency or when the second in command upgrades to pilot in command in that aircraft

Work Environment
As a Fighter Pilot, missions and assignments can be anywhere around the globe. This includes working from carrier battle groups, or other sea-based platforms, and at Naval Air Stations or other locations on shore.
Training & Advancement
Those entering aviation programs must first attend Officer Candidate School (OCS) in Newport, RI, and then complete a six-week air indoctrination course at Naval Aviation Schools Command, in Pensacola, FL. From there, prospective Fighter Pilots attend primary flight training.
Candidates then request an aircraft pipeline and enter the intermediate phase of flight training, which builds upon basic flight and navigation training. The final phase is advanced naval flight training, focusing on mission specifics. After completion, prospective Fighter Pilots are awarded their "wings of gold" and report to their respective Fleet Replacement Squadrons (FRSs) for further training specific to their aircraft.
Promotion opportunities are regularly available but competitive and based on performance.

Specialized training received and work experience gained in the course of service can lead to valuable credentialing and occupational opportunities in related fields in the civilian sector.

Qualifications & Requirements
A four-year degree is required to work as a Fighter Pilot. Candidates seeking an Officer position in this community must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, preferably in a technical field. Ask a recruiter for specifics.
All candidates must also be U.S. citizens, willing to serve worldwide and qualified for sea duty.
General qualifications may vary depending upon whether you're currently serving , whether you've served before or whether you've never served before .
Part-Time Opportunities
Currently, this position in the Navy Reserve is open only to prior or current military aviators.
Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Fighter Pilots in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes.
For annual training, Fighter Pilots may serve anywhere in the world, whether on a ship at sea or at bases and installations on shore.
