Twitter Linkedin Facebook Google+Pinterestemail JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY: The primary responsibility and authority for the execution of all vessel assignments including, but not limited to, planning the most efficient and safe operation of the vessel and its crew, implementing the operating plan in a cost-effective manner, and evaluating and reporting the results. It is the responsibility of all Masters to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, requirements and documentation in the Foss Safety Management System Manual (SMS) and vessel regulatory requirements. Masters have the specific obligation to ensure that all personnel assigned to vessels are provided with information, instructions and directions necessary for meeting the program objectives of safety, environmental protection and quality service through knowledgeable and competent execution of assigned tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Ensures safe navigation of the vessel at all times.
* Ensure safe and efficient maneuvering of vessel during ship work, barge work and escorts.
* Conducts required drills, training, safety meetings and maintains records of such, per company policy.
* Conducts and ensures compliance with vessel maintenance and inspection requirements as prescribed by the company.
* Inspects vessel to ensure conformance with safety standards and maritime regulations.
* Work closely with customers, pilots and appropriate government agencies to ensure the proper performance of the job.
* Ensures prompt and accurate reporting of all equipment failures, illnesses, incidents, accidents and damages.
* Maintains current knowledge of all maritime laws.
* Directs and supervises crew members in safe and productive operation of the vessel, its machinery and equipment.
* Holds crew accountable for their adherence to maritime law, company policies and procedures, and their individual performance/productivity.
* Evaluate all crewmembers in accordance with Company policy and take action as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
* Thorough knowledge of vessel handling and navigational skills commensurate with operating assignments.
* Capable to handle all aspects of operating a tractor tug for shipwork and bargework in harbors and open waters.
* Must have competence to operate a tractor tug in forward or reverse modes when making up to a ship.
* Working knowledge of propulsion, auxiliary and deck machinery.
* Must possess strong written and oral communicative skills.
* Competent in the use of a computer.
* Must be able to economically supervise all aspects of the operation of the vessel, its cargo and crew.
* Must be able to work independently and without direct supervision.
* Ability to withstand exposure to all weather conditions (rain, ice, snow, heat, wind, heavy seas, etc.)
* Ability to adapt to a variety of schedules and hours
* Able to work weekends, holidays, and at night.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* Must possess and maintain a National Master 500 Near Coastal or higher license, Master of Towing, STCW, Radar Endorsement, MMC, and TWIC.
* GMDSS is preferred.
* 3+ years' experience as a Master or Mate on a tractor tug doing harbor assist work.
* Must be able to work on call in the Seattle/Tacoma harbor areas.
* Valid state driver's license.
* Able to pass a simulated or live assessment.

Bereavement leave- three (3) paid days off for a death in the immediate family, or five (5) days off if travel greater than 500 miles is required.

Description of position:
The primary responsibility of this position is to effectively run individual catered events. Duties include but are not limited to; setting up, running, and breakdown of events from small business meetings with minimal food to large groups with full meals; setting up tables, chairs, and bars; serving food from fine dining to buffet style; pouring and serving beer, wine, and spirits; waiting on and bussing tables; checking IDs of patrons purchasing alcoholic beverages; coffee and water service; event breakdown; clean-up of the event; resetting event spaces; restocking supplies; washing dishes; general cleaning; attending employee meetings; acting as a shift leader for the regular catering servers on duty for the event; and, most importantly, attending to customer needs and maintaining customer relations. The catering captain must write up and input a customer's bill, set-up and run audio-visual equipment, trouble-shoot events, and function as a resource, professionally handle customer complaints, and communicate pertinent event information to customers, catering department managers, as well as other departments on property. Above all this position requires a positive attitude and dedication to providing excellent customer service. Since this position includes lots of direct contact with customers, catering captains will also need to be available to answer questions and assist customers & guests in whatever way necessary. Being a catering captain can be hard physical work and requires mental agility and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced and deadline oriented environment. Catering captains must also have the ability to work well independently and as a member of a team. Each employee will be expected to perform their job in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to Management. All McMenamin employees will also be expected to keep current on all company events, history, and products. Other duties as assigned by the Manager on duty.
Requirements of the Job:
* Previous serving or catering/banquet experience
* Obtain and maintain current food handlers and OLCC/WA liquor license
* Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Summary

The Part-121 ATR Captain will conduct safe, efficient, compliant and professional flight services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely maneuver the aircraft during all phases of flight; monitor all flight conditions including weather and cargo safety, and verify go/no-go decision; verify fuel requirements and related weather variables and ensure proper loading; make alternate destination decisions when the intended destination is unavailable.

Coastal Villages Longline, a subsidiary of Coastal Villages Region Fund, is currently seeking applications for a Captain to operate one of our Freezer Longliners. The primary job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, working on-board our fishing vessel operating off the western coasts of Washington and Alaska. The Captain is expected to safely and effectively navigate the vessel, supervise and discipline the crew, conduct safety drills, and fulfill all duties regarding reporting requirements and paperwork. This position may also be responsible for managing shipyard work, loading and unloading supplies on the vessel, cleaning vessel and equipment, and performing other duties. Applicants are required to provide current USCG License with STCW endorsements and other merchant mariner documentation as necessary. This position requires three years experience as Captain of a Freezer Longliner in the Bearing Sea fishery or five years as Captain on another Bering Sea commercial vessel. The position also requires a minimum of three years or more experience as a deckhand, bosun or mate on a commercial fishing vessel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
