The Role
Chastain Park Amphitheatre is seeking a Zero Waste Captain to help us take our sustainability programs to the next level. This role is the backbone and driving force for helping us become zero waste through sorting and educating others. This position will partner with the Venue Sustainability Manager and be part of the venue operations team. This is a seasonal, part-time position for show days. Hours per week will vary depending on the show schedule and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in Zero Waste Captain onboarding training.
Responsible for ensuring maximum landfill diversion
Event waste sorting
Educating fans and staff in the recycling recovery process

Responsibility of safe + informed ordering for allergen guests.
Complete opening, closing and side-duties efficiently
Make sure server station is stocked and ready for service
Perform assigned side work
Work as a team with co-workers: view the entire restaurant as your section when opportunity allows.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the management team
Responsible for cash handling and accurate reporting, as the venue will lend a cash float for service

Degree/ Diploma in Hospitality, WSET, Prud'homme or equivalent considered an asset
