What you will do

Qualifications
A valid Coast Guard license, minimum 200 GT or greater Near Coastal, with a radar observer endorsement required.
Two (2) years previous experience as a Master on twin screw tugs.
Two (2) years' experience pushing barges
Valid Master of Towing Near Coastal license required.
Valid TWIC
Must have a valid first aid certificate.
Must have valid CPR training.
Must have a valid HAZWOPER certificate or complete a 24 hour training course within 30 days from date of hire.
Must be able to direct, fairly evaluate, and correct performance of subordinates.
Must have valid states driver's license.
Valid radio operator's license.
Must be able to understand and use information in cargo information cards and material safety data sheets.

U.S. Coast Guard Inland Masters (100 ton) or equivalent
FCC Marine Radio License
Possess and maintain a current California driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Two (2) years of boat handling
Customer service experience is helpful
Knowledge of foreign language is helpful
Open schedule and ability to work any assigned schedule, including holidays and weekends
Ability to work a shift that may start as early as 4:30 am or end as late as 10:45 pm. Shifts are 8 hours.
