JOB SUMMARY: The Qualitative Team Captain will assist with the qualitative projects conducted by our Field teams in Hollywood and Orlando, working closely with the Qualitative and Ethnographic team and Field Leadership to train and monitor quality assurance on new continual and ad hoc qualitative Field projects. This role is responsible for training and monitoring quality assurance on new continual and ad hoc qualitative Field projects. The Qualitative Team Captain ensures the integrity and reliability of qualitative data through rigorous quality control processes and inter-coding reliability checks. Additionally, this role involves motivating, coaching, and developing team members, conducting in-field performance evaluations, and providing individual feedback to the Qualitative Field Research Sr. Manager and Field Leadership Teams. The Qualitative Team Captain also engages in strategic planning, resource management, and communication, acting as a key liaison between the field teams and senior management. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Motivate, coach, develop, and complete behavioral observations of Qualitative Data Collection Leads, Qualitative Research Auditors, CI Field Interviewing Team Captains, CI Field Interview Specialists II, and CI Field Interview Specialists I working qualitative field projects using a standardized rubric.
+ Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to team members, focusing on skill development and performance improvement.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest innovative solutions to enhance data collection and analysis.
+ Collaborate with senior management to align qualitative research goals with organizational objectives. Develop and implement quality assurance protocols for qualitative research processes.
+ Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials. Continuously evaluate and improve research methodologies and practices.
+ Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget while ensuring compliance with ethical standards and organizational research policies.
+ Track individual Team Member performance in and out of the field for the Qualitative Field Research Sr. Manager and Field Leadership Team.
+ Identifying Team Members requiring additional training or close in-field monitoring and supervision.
+ Complete monthly inter-coder reliability checks for coders on both coasts and respond to the daily questions sent to the coding e-mail distribution lists.
+ Audit QRA mystery shops in the field and provide detailed quality assurance reports for senior leadership.
+ Conduct ad hoc unstructured and semi-structured interviews to collect data on topics of interest.
+ Conduct fixed counts/observations of guest behaviors, interactions, or other observable phenomenon.
+ Identify themes deductively and inductively to code data.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree-seeking or Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Human Factors, Market Research, or other Social Science or Business Field with research specialization is required for this role.
EXPERIENCE: 1+ Year: leading a team, clerical, customer service, data entry, computer experience preferred. Qualitative field experience is a plus; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

Training & Advancement
Those entering aviation programs must first attend Officer Candidate School (OCS) in Newport, RI, and then complete a six-week air indoctrination course at Naval Aviation Schools Command, in Pensacola, FL. From there, prospective Fighter Pilots attend primary flight training.
Candidates then request an aircraft pipeline and enter the intermediate phase of flight training, which builds upon basic flight and navigation training. The final phase is advanced naval flight training, focusing on mission specifics. After completion, prospective Fighter Pilots are awarded their "wings of gold" and report to their respective Fleet Replacement Squadrons (FRSs) for further training specific to their aircraft.
Promotion opportunities are regularly available but competitive and based on performance.

Responsible for partnering with the OJT Instructor to oversee new hire training and is the first point of contact for new team members. Meets with team members to review their training progress, addresses concerns, documents training related issues, administers testing and signs off on the successful completion of training and testing.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

Position Summary
The Catering Captain is responsible for overseeing and assisting with the serving of guests in the Suites, Premium Clubs, Hospitality Decks and other Private Function spaces. A Catering Captain must be personable and able to work in an ever- changing fast-paced environment. A Catering Captain is familiar with all food and beverage products available on the menu and can speak knowledgeably with the guests regarding the product. The Catering Captain will assist the management team with administrative work including monthly inventory as well as assist in the set-up of the Suites, Pantries, Premium Clubs and other catering areas prior to any Event. The Captain must exhibit Leadership skills to assist in the guidance of catering attendants throughout an Event. They must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.
This role pays an hourly rate of $18 to $20, plus tips.

Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing and assisting in serving meals and beverages to guests.
Must demonstrate ability to read and comprehend Banquet Event Orders.
Supervises and Assists in setting up of Suites, Pantries, Premium Clubs, Hospitality Decks and other catering spaces prior to any Event.
Responsible for full knowledge of the food and beverage menu and sharing the knowledge with the staff as well as the guests including, ingredients, portion sizes, pricing and preparation.
If assigned to the Suite levels during an Event, responsible for recording a guest's order on the POS System in the pantry, relaying the order to the kitchen, and timely delivery of the order to the guests in the suite.
Assist runners when needed to ensure food is brought where needed in a timely manner.
Follow time line and have food ready for service at designated times.
Report any equipment issues when found to the Catering Manager
Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
Responsible for assisting in cleaning up remaining food product and equipment after any Event
Responsible for evaluating designated Catering spaces after each Event for proper cleanliness and Inventory levels.
Assist with administrative duties including monthly inventory.
Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
