Your Role Gensler Los Angeles is currently seeking a Job Captain with a successful track record and architectural background. In this position, you will collaborate with a team of designers and architects to produce technical documentation and communicate project progress to team members to ensuring our projects exceed client expectations. What You Will Do Produce accurate technical and contract documentation for construction of projects Provide project team coordination for incorporating design intent into construction documentation Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues and maintain quality control during construction Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives Utilize hand and 3D software renderings to communicate design concepts Your Qualifications 8+ years of related professional experience Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field Experience in adaptive re-use projects (renovations of existing buildings versus new ground-up construction) is a plus Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications and construction techniques Knowledge of sustainable design strategies and experience on net zero projects is a plus Experience in construction document preparation and field observation Strong leadership, organizational, verbal and written communication, and relationship management skills Strong Revit skills (Level 4 or 5) ; and experience in AutoCad, Adobe CS, SketchUp, and other 3D modeling software a plus On the path to licensure preferred Applications will not be considered without uploaded resume and portfolio in PDF format. **The base salary will be estimated between $90,000 - $110,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
