Job Summary:
The Food and Transportation Programs Associate performs clerical duties associated with the delivery and documentation of food and transportation programs, to include, filing, collecting eligibility data, monitoring program compliance, entering data into agency databases and support with the compliance of grants, contracts, program protocols, policies and procedures of DAP Health.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Collaborates the Food and Transportation Programs Coordinator (FTPC) with the Ryan White Food and Transportation's monthly voucher distribution and mailings according to eligibility reports and program's standards or care.
Collect and process all Transportation Requests (gas vouchers) received from eligible clients in preparation for monthly distribution
Distribute monthly bus passes to eligible clients participating in the program
Attends DAP Health mobile pantry distribution
Maintain an appropriate number of emergency food bags ready to be distributed
Document all food, gas cards and bus passes issued to eligible clients in their electronic data base
Scan and/or file all food and transportation receipts and any other documents as needed
Works a flexible schedule, which may include some Saturdays per year for the mobile pantry distribution
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities
Strong clerical, computer and organizational skills including data entry and Microsoft Office Suite
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Education and Experience
Minimum of two (2 years of work experience in customer service OR medical, social work, or social services related fields
Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in an administrative setting

CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide exceptional customer service as identified in Feather River Food Cooperative Service Standards
Take the initiative to improve knowledge of Feather River Food Cooperatives product line and demonstrate the ability to answer or research customer questions.
Promptly respond to customer inquiries, comments, and complaints in a professional manner, with manager assistance when needed.
Alert the manager on duty of issues affecting product quality, service or equipment malfunctions.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
TEAMWORK RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide excellent service to peers and co-workers; demonstrate a willingness and ability to cooperate and communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and outside contacts.

PREPARATION AND PRODUCT
Prepare recipes, according to production needs established by the Prepared Foods Manager
Maintain quality standards for finished products.
Prep recipes to be baked the following day deli is opened and closed following established procedures.
Stock and rotate Grab & Go and all other deli items.
Dispose of all unsellable items properly and keep accurate shrinkage records.
Clearly label and identify all ingredients in dishes produced and re-packed from the kitchen.
STOREWIDE RESPONSIBILITIES
Abide by dress code and all Co-op policies and procedures as specified in the FRFC Employee Handbook.
Adhere to attendance policy and communicate according to procedure.
Be ready and able to assist in all areas of the store regardless of your home department.
Attend staff meetings and participate in assigned projects.
Read staff notebook and notices regularly.
Adhere to safety and security policies and rules. Promptly report potential security threats, safety hazards, and accidents to a manager.
BAKER DUTIES
Early morning hours may be required and will include opening the kitchen.
Ensure the cleanliness of baking equipment.
Weigh different flours and other ingredients to prepare dough.
Bake different bread types like - sourdough, french bread, baguettes, multigrain breads as assigned.
Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking.
Mix various ingredients to create fillings for pies, cookies, and pastries, as assigned.
Shape dough to prepare different types of breads.
Track and report shrink to the Prepared Foods Manager.
DEPARTMENT MAINTENANCE
Follow procedures to ensure preparation of coffee and maintenance of drink counter in clean, organized, and fully stocked condition.
Maintain the kitchen area by performing daily checklists.
STORE SECURITY, SAFETY AND SANITATION
Perform duties in full compliance with health department regulations.
Maintain compliance with all established record keeping procedures.
Perform duties in compliance with lawful standards for food handling safety.
Assist in maintaining department operates in compliance with health department regulations. Assist in development of the prepared foods training manual contents.
DISHWASHING
Assumes responsibility for the cleanliness of all dishware.
Load, run and unload dishwasher.
Monitor dishwasher temperature and detergent levels.
Report any potential problems with dish area to the Prepared Foods Manager.
Properly wash, sanitize and store all dishes.
Handle sharp objects with care to ensure no injuries.
Complete opening and closing checklists as required.
Complete other tasks as assigned.
OTHER
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Prepared Foods Manager.
Attend continual education classes, conferences, and other training as assigned.

Pay Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Kitchen Steward is to ensure that all guests have an excellent experience while performing kitchen duties related to maintaining kitchen work areas, restaurant and kitchen equipment, and utensils.
Work Performed:
The Kitchen Steward will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:
Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, food storage areas, walk-in fridges, freezers, ovens, and dry storage cupboards;
Clean, sanitize, and store dishes, glasses, utensils, and other kitchen equipment in the designated areas;
Hand-wash pots, pans, and trays per the prescribed standard ;
Manage trash and garbage(including separating), clean cans, and maintain loading dock;
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas;
Complete regular sanitization/disinfection of all kitchen and food and beverage work areas that include flooring, storerooms, prep areas, buffets, dining tables, and equipment;
Assist with food dish-up, set-up sheets, and set-up and break-down for various events; and
Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
