Generate service purchase orders in SAP for labor, ensuring timely service delivery. Process invoices related to both materials and labor in SAP, ensuring proper documentation and submission to accounting for payment. Monitor and track non-purchase order invoices (rentals, contracts, etc.) and ensure proper submission to the accounting department for payment. Process Purchase Order Invoices and Submit to Accounting for Payment. Process non-Purchase Order Invoices (rentals, contracts, etc.) and submit to Accounting for Payment. Maintain up-to-date databases of vendors and suppliers, including records of licenses and certifications, ensuring compliance with company policies. Monitor and maintain stock levels of radios, parts, accessories, and other essential items required by the Maintenance Department, Safety, Quality, Production and HR. Establish effective communication channels with suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery of critical items. Work with the Accounting and Maintenance Department on Project and WBS Code Creation. Work with Maintenance and Accounting to create new suppliers/vendors. Make comparisons to recommend which vendors are the best option to benefit the company through cost-quality relations.     Job Title: Domestic Purchasing Specialist Reports To: Purchasing Manager Primary duties will include: Process purchase orders based on material demand and inventory levels. Research, document, and improve procurement workflows and processes (including flow charts). Investigate and resolve vendor discrepancies related to product quality, shipping, and invoicing. Coordinate material availability (on-hand and incoming) with large customer orders. Manage vendor relationships, conduct in-person meetings, and provide regular performance evaluations Track and report on vendor on-time delivery and quality performance. Collaborate with department supervisors to assess and fulfill production supply needs. Manage vendor consignment programs and ensure accurate tracking of consigned inventory. Communicate pricing changes and updates to the internal team. Analyze monthly material usage trends and adjust safety stock levels accordingly. Process credit applications for onboarding new vendors. Create and process transfer orders to support materials needed at the Tennessee facility. Provide support and serve as backup for other roles within the purchasing department. Other duties as assigned Requirements: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with NetSuite is a plus. Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience in purchasing or supply chain preferred; however, a willingness to learn is valued more than traditional experience. Preferred education: Bachelor's Degree is preferred, High School Diploma required. We will consider additional experience in lieu of degree. Experience working in a manufacturing or production-driven environment. Previous use of ERP systems, especially NetSuite. Knowledge of inventory planning and supply chain best practices. The essential physical & environmental requirements of the position are: Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. without assistance. Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to hear sounds and differentiate between them. Ability to visually understand distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and have color vision.
