Job Duties include but are not limited to:
• Manage Keysight Product Orders: record in Internal Order Management Tool and maintain and update through receipt of the order. Expedite and Escalate as required.
• Schedule, monitor, prioritize and expedite purchases to support Delivery Projects on behalf of the Americas Service and Delivery Teams.
• Work closely with key Technical and Strategic team members within Keysight as business requires.
• Process requisitions and purchase orders for purchases according to company standards and procedures.
• Monitor purchased materials and services through the procurement lifecycle. Communicate and resolve supplier-related problems as they occur.
• Interface with delivery teams and quality functions to audit suppliers as appropriate to ensure performance to Keysight objectives.
• Conduct business in accordance with agreed strategies and in accordance with Keysight standards.

Job Qualifications
• BS degree in Business or applicable professional experience in a similar position, or
• AS in Science or applicable professional experience.
• Minimum 2 years strategic and/or tactical procurement experience in a service and support environment.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with successes in negotiation.
• Product knowledge in major test and measurement systems and instruments.
• Experience identifying process, skill, and performance gaps; developing implementation plans to fill gaps, including establishing standard work and, KPI's.

Primary Purpose:

Essential Functions:
Purchase merchandise from growers, shippers, brokers, manufacturing representatives, or other sellers as needed based on customer demands or requirements, quality, and value. Purchases are made from designated authorized, or, preferred vendors.
Based on inventory, develop an order quantity that minimizes shortages and out of stocks. Interpret product movement to maximize product turns.
Understand the function and scope of General Produce transportation department and work with them to have product picked up and delivered to our facilities.
Verify and monitor that the merchandise purchased to ensure compliance with the agreed terms and specifications of the negotiated.
Maintain a partnership with General Produce Food Safety & Quality Control (FSQC) department and partner with FSQC to resolve any quality issues.
Inspect and authorize the return of rejected merchandise. Follow up with suppliers to ensure that General Produce is properly credited and reaffirm expectation of safe quality foods delivery.
Work with Inventory Control manager to identify missing product and resolve issues to a satisfactory conclusion.
Strong partnership with General Produce Operations in unloading and slotting commodities.
Understand product rotation, shelf life and proper storage requirements of the products purchased.
Understand the processes and procedures of the cold chain to maximize shelf life and work with the operations department to ensure the integrity of the products.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchaser for an Asian Food Distributor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for purchasing high-quality Asian food products from both domestic and international suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Responsibilities:
Procurement:
Source and purchase a variety of Asian food products from domestic and international suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer demand.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records.
Conduct biannual inventory counts with the entire company, inputting data into a managed inventory system.
Utilize Excel to input and manage imported food product information.
Market Analysis:
Conduct regular market research to identify new products, trends, and supplier opportunities.
Visit local retail stores near the office on a weekly basis to engage with customers and research product trends.
Analyze sales data and market trends to forecast demand and adjust purchasing strategies.
Approximately the first 3 months of employment will consist of warehouse training.
Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the US.
Fluency in both Japanese and English is required.
Basic general Microsoft skills are required
No prior purchasing experience is necessary.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary: $40,000 - $45,000 per year.
