BUSSER
The primary responsibility of a Busser is to set the tables with clean linens, glassware, and silverware and remove soiled linen, dishes, glassware, and silverware. Secondary responsibilities include proper maintenance and cleaning of side stations, floors, coffee maker, iced tea machine, carts, and perform other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and stock stations with all necessary equipment and supplies for the day.
Complete opening and closing side work.
Maintain clean and orderly stations throughout the day.
Keep walkways, common areas and wait stations clean.
Assisting and providing service to members and guests.
Promptly clearing and resetting all tables.
Ensure restaurant cleanliness by cleaning tables and chairs.
Supporting the restaurant team by polishing silverware in a timely manner.
Pouring water when table is sat and continuously throughout shift.
Assisting servers in any capacity necessary to make the shift run smoothly.
Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and members.
ABOUT YOU
Previous Restaurant Busser / Server Assistant experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to Listen and follow through with instruction.
Ability to smile, be pleasant, and accommodating. Be hospitable.
Speak and read English and follow procedures.
Work at a fast pace, stay productive.
Dependable - Report to work, in uniform and ready to work.
Exercise common-sense.
REQUIREMENTS
Must possess valid identification and social security card.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Adhere to Kenwood Country Club policies, including, but not limited to, the NO Cell Phone policy.
DRESS CODE / UNIFORM
You wear all black non-slip shoes, black slacks, and black belt.
Kenwood will provide a polo shirt to be neatly tucked in and a nametag.
You must have a good hygiene routine and neatly combed hair pulled back from your face.
AVAILABILITY
We are open Tuesday through Sunday and on Holidays.
Typical shifts are 10:30am to 3:30pm (AM Shift) and 4:30pm to 9:30pm (PM Shift) - Times will vary.
PAY RATE
This position pays the current Montgomery County, MD minimum wage as allowed by law.

FOOD RUNNER
The primary duty of the food runner is making sure that food is delivered to tables promptly and correctly. When the server is unavailable to be present, the runners are responsible for presenting the food to guests at the table according to the seat numbers designated on the expo ticket. The food runner should never “auction” off the food to a table. Other duties include: making sure coffee is hot and fresh, condiments are refilled, expo silverware is stocked and polished, and carry-out bags are stamped and stocked. The food runner should be knowledgeable about the menu and the food they are
dropping off to the guests.
BUSSER/BARBACK
The duties include, but are not limited to, clearing and resetting tables promptly, stocking
glassware for both the server station and bar, emptying and replacing bus bins in the server station and bar, refilling all ice bins, washing dishes in the bar sinks (stemware in the dishwasher behind the bar), restocking fruit and any beer, wine, or liquor needed at the bar, rolling silverware for the bar, stocking and polishing silverware, emptying linen bins and trash cans, and checking and tidying up the restroom every 30 minutes. When interacting with guests, bussers are to be respectful and professional. All busser duties are split up accordingly based on the number of bussers working that shift. All bussers should be knowledgeable of the menu items, specials, etc. Sidework for bussers include changing the trash cans in the bathrooms, replenishing paper towels in the bathrooms, pulling black mats into the kitchen, and sweeping and mopping the floors after all guests have left. During the week, the closer barback/busser hours would be until approximately 12:00am. On the weekend, the closer barback/busser hours would be until approximately 2:00am.
