Job Description
The Spa Cafe Busser will work with a team of hospitality professionals, including servers and Spa staff to deliver superior food and beverage service to our guests. The busser will deliver food and beverages, help clear food and beverage items and help maintain the appearance of pool areas.
*This is a seasonal position with an anticipated start date of April 15, 2025, and an end date of September 15, 2025.
Responsibilities
Responsible for bussing and setting tables.
Fill requisitions in Purchasing. Keep linen stocked for the entire day.
Set up bus stations with glassware, tea set-ups, coffee, tea, lemons and ice. Keep items stocked throughout your shift.
Keep dining room set up completely and correctly with clean, polished silverware, clean linen and glassware.
Break down bus stations at the end of the evening, including cleaning all work areas and materials used.
Clear each course after everyone at the table has finished eating, unless the guest asks you not to. Remove items from the table that the customer does not need.
Re-set tables. Check linen for cleanliness and proper placement. Silverware should be polished and evenly set.
Assist the servers in any way possible to assure quality service.
Qualifications
Previous bussing experience preferred.
San Diego County Food Handlers Card and TIPS certification required upon start of job.
Great customer service experience.
Must be available on all weekends and holidays.

PURPOSE
The busser is responsible for efficiently clearing, cleaning and resetting tables, while assisting food servers in all aspects of guest table service, maximizing table turns and maintaining restaurant flow.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Clear and reset tables efficiently before, during and after service periods to turn tables
Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers and proper table set ups
Maintain cleanliness and stock of their assigned areas and side stations
Work as a team, assisting all guests' and team members' needs and inquiries
Ensure that all necessary stock is being replenished during the shift
Respond to guest concerns/complaints and correct errors or resolve complaints while maintaining a positive attitude escalating to management when necessary
Clean and dry spills immediately upon occurrence; never leaving spills unattended
Move furniture as directed by management, including but not limited to: tables, chairs, bar stools, banquettes, bar tables, boxes, and equipment
Ensure that any breakage is reported and recorded
Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment
Complete opening/running/closing side work duties as assigned
Assist teammates with opening/running/closing side work duties upon request
Assists and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
High School Diploma preferred
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
18+ years of age
Possession of or the ability to possess all state required work cards
Minimum of one (1) years related experience
Proper lifting techniques
Guest relations
Sanitation and safety
Full service restaurant operations
Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the public

The Splash Busser will work with a team of hospitality professionals, including servers, bartenders and pool staff to deliver superior food and beverage service to our guests. The busser will deliver food and beverages, help clear food and beverage items and help maintain the appearance of pool areas.
*This is a seasonal position with a end date of September 15, 2025.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for bussing the pool area and cabanas.
Set up bus stations with plateware, lemons and ice. Keep items stocked throughout your shift.
Break down bus stations at the end of your shift, including cleaning all work areas and materials used.
Offer water as needed and up sell to bottled water whenever possible.
Clear each course after everyone at the table has finished eating, unless the guest asks you not to. Remove items from the table that the customer does not need.
Assist the servers and bartenders in any way possible to assure quality service.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Previous experience as a food server highly preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have great communication skills - the ability to engage with guests professionally, appropriately and courteously.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
