Key Responsibilities

The Role:
The Senior Project Business Analyst (BA) will be involved in requirements gathering, business process modeling, and functional design for NW Natural projects and initiatives with business and technology components. The BA will work closely with Project Managers (PM) to ensure completeness of vision based on business requirements. The BA will be responsible for documenting business processes and leading business process re-design sessions when necessary. The BA may be responsible for other activities including research, reporting, participating in design and testing of deliverables.
Day to Day:
* Supports the project process throughout the software development lifecycle and is responsible for authoring key documentation and deliverables at each phase.
* Elicits requirements through interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints.
* Leads re-engineering of business processes and identifies various solutions to business problems.
* Works closely with the PM to develop Business Requirements and Functional Specifications documentation.
* Leads requirements analysis and verification ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, and verifiable.
* Responsible for tracking, prioritizing and reporting status of multiple initiatives.
* Writes requirement specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely.
* Responsible for managing project tools (Azure DevOps) including creating, prioritizing, and maintaining user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements throughout the project.
