Wages and Benefits:
CDL-licensed sub-drivers earn $20.50 per hour, with bonuses at 50 days worked ($500), 100 days worked ($750), and150 days worked ($1000) within the same school year.
For those without a CDL B license, the district provides training to obtain your CDL B at ($19.48) per hour until you are licensed to drive.
Sub-drivers can average up to 30 hours per week
After 18 days of subbing at the 30 hours per week, sub-drivers then become eligible for insurance the following month. Sub-drivers can either obtain insurance through the district or accept the opt-out payment.
Work Hours:
Sub-drivers report to work at 6:00 a.m. Morning routes end at approximately 9:15 a.m. Drivers return at 1:45 p.m. for their afternoon runs, which are usually completed around 4:45 p.m.
