We are looking for an experienced and diligent Landscaper to join our lawn care team. You must be comfortable operating lawn maintenance equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers, and understand how to water, fertilize, and prune decorative shrubs and plants. Duties/Responsibilities:
Mow grass and prune trees and shrubs
Treat lawn and landscaping with pesticides to remove harmful insects
Maintain the existing landscaping design and ensure plant survival
Rake fallen leaves and remove debris
Oversee maintenance repairs to equipment, landscape structures
Follows written and verbal instructions from the crew leader and clients.
Plants new flowers, trees, grass, hedges, and bushes.
Maintains gardens and lawns, including mowing, trimming, pruning, raking, and weeding.
Waters plants and lawns and add fertilizer as needed.
Install outdoor lighting and sprinkler systems.
Removes snow, ice, and leaves as needed.
Builds and renovates stone pathways, patios, and ledges.
Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles.
Drives work vehicles while on-site
Adheres to all safety precautions.
Assists Maintenance crew as needed with interior and exterior building repairs
Qualifications:
High school degree or equivalent
At least 18 years old
Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping a plus
Must know how to operate lawn maintenance equipment, such as lawnmowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers
Must pass background check and drug test
Must have the ability to function optimally in a stressful environment, and the ability to remain calm in emotionally charged situations.
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand, bend, and squat for extended periods and lift up to 55 pounds
Must be able to work flexible hours during the winter to do snow removal as well as respond to emergency calls

BASIC FUNCTION

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Maintains turf areas including mowing, trimming, aerating and spraying for weeds.
Inspects parks and clean up debris.
Plants materials such as flowers, trees, shrubs, grass, etc.
Prunes hedges and trees.
Maintains irrigation systems and repair.
Participates in snow removal operations.

Job Summary
We're looking for a passionate individual to maintain and enhance beautiful gardens, lawns, and landscapes. In this role, you'll cultivate a variety of herbs and plants, care for landscapes, and assist with new hardscape and plant installations. Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Ensures that assigned lawns are maintained properly, by mowing, edging, and applying organic fertilizers as directed.
Assure that lawns are mowed, trimmed and irrigated regularly.
Ability to effectively and safely use hand tools for weeding and pruning and maintaining proper storage of tools as directed.
Ensures optimal appearance of assigned landscapes, by actively working in each area under close supervision, i.e. preparing soil and grading terrain, applying fertilizers and mulches, weeding, pruning and transplanting shrubs and plants as needed to maintain all assigned areas.
Responsible for maintaining grounds with mowers, leaf blowers, and weed whippers; ensuring work is done safely and effectively under the direction of the lead gardener.
Willingly provides back-up for members of the Farm Crew as needed to ensure the production timelines are met.
Maintains trees and shrubs properly, by pruning and fertilizing as recommended.
Willing to learn and help maintain basic irrigation system components, design and repair.
Ensures safe working conditions, by following established safety procedures at all times and attending regular safety training.
Serves as a good role model by practicing safe work habits and supporting all safety guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills
Ability to carry out detailed oral or written instructions.
Ability to work in a team environment without close supervision.
Must pay close attention to detail, ability to detect issues and troubleshoot.
Participates in all team meetings, sharing ideas on continuous process improvement with the supervisor and team members.
Fosters teamwork and collaboration and provides support across farm and irrigation crew.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, along with at least 1 year of hands-on related experience or equivalent education. Familiarity with herb cultivation is preferred.

Working Conditions
The ideal candidate should be prepared for the physical demands of outdoor farm work, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs. multiple times a day, and working in various weather conditions. Exposure to outdoor elements, slippery surfaces, and occasional noise is expected. Candidates should have strong language skills to interpret and follow documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for handling non-standard situations and collaborating effectively with the team.
