Custom Compounding Pharmacy is a leading veterinary compounding pharmacy dedicated to providing customized medications for animals. We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Manager with a passion for equine health to join our growing team. This role will focus on building and maintaining relationships with veterinarians and other equine professionals. They will also build and direct the efforts of the sales team.
Position Summary:
The Veterinary Compounding Pharmacy Sales Manager (Equine Focus) will be responsible for promoting and selling our compounded medications to veterinary clinics, equine hospitals, and other relevant businesses. This individual will act as a trusted advisor, providing expert product knowledge and exceptional customer service. They will be responsible for driving sales and achieving revenue targets. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans as well as building and maintaining a sales team.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, practice managers, and other key decision-makers in the equine industry.
Educate clients on the benefits of our compounded medications for equine patients
Conduct regular sales calls, presentations, and product demonstrations to educate clients on the benefits of our compounded medications.
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the equine market.
Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and other networking events to promote the company and its products.
Provide exceptional customer service and support to existing clients.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market trends.
Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in veterinary medicine, particularly in the equine field, and compounding pharmacy practices.
Collaborate with our pharmacy team to ensure client satisfaction and address any concerns or questions.
Willing to travel up to 40% within assigned territory.
Communicate regular updates with the pharmacy about client acquisition progress and sales numbers.
· Analyze sales results on a monthly basis and manage expenses within budget guidelines
Required Qualifications:
Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the veterinary or animal health industry.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
Proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Animal Science, Biology, Business, Marketing).
Strong knowledge of equine health and veterinary medicine.
Experience in the compounding pharmacy industry.
Existing relationships with equine veterinarians or other equine professionals.
Previous experience with sales team management
