Clean parts and maintain tooling and equipment per proper work instructions.

Work with close tolerances and fits to meet engineering and operating requirements.
Complete all required paperwork in an accurate and efficient manner, including Quality Assurance and Test Record.

+ Learn about gearboxes and all components used in assemblies and sub-assemblies.
+ Understand pinions, torque arms, ring gears, and other gearbox elements.
+ Safely operate an overhead crane to lift, hoist, and move gearboxes.
+ Disassemble gearboxes using torque wrenches and impact guns.
+ Read and interpret gearbox documentation and step-by-step instructions.
+ Accurately document serial numbers from each part during disassembly.
+ Wash parts to remove wax coating before sub-assembly.
+ Heat parts in an oven to warp gears into shape for assembly.
+ Use the overhead crane to return gearboxes to their normal position for final assembly.
+ Attach specific addons to gearboxes as per customer requirements using impact wrenches.

+ Experience with mechanical assembly.

Summary

Mechanical Assembler

We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our team and assist in the assembly of medical scanning equipment on a daily basis. You will use a variety of hand and power tools to complete assemblies, following blueprint instructions to ensure accuracy.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble and validate cable assemblies, harnesses, and all types of mechanical assemblies according to released drawings and assembly notes.
+ Enter data into the computer database as specified by process or Operating Manufacturing Statements (OMS).
+ Produce acceptable product quality within the allowed time standard once training is complete.
+ Pay attention to detail for parts and measurements as small changes have a large impact.
+ Read and interpret drawings and work instructions (OMS).
+ Use small hand tools (crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, wire cutters, etc.) with acceptable results.
+ Solder and apply solder paste in accordance with J-610 standards.
+ Solder and tin wires (IPC not required) and use a Volt-Ohm Meter.
+ Mix and apply materials and coatings.
+ Use and monitor curing ovens.
+ Select and use taps and dies correctly without damaging material.
+ Mate water connections/fittings so that they do not leak.
+ Correctly assemble mechanical assemblies to released documentation.
+ Perform an audit of the material issued to a job.
+ Create labels as needed for assemblies according to drawings or OMS specifications.
+ Understand and comply with the Non-Conformance (NC) process after training.
+ Build cable/harness assemblies according to drawings or OMS.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to stand for 8 hours per day.
+ 1+ years of mechanical assembly experience working with hands.
+ Experience using hand tools, power tools, and blueprints.
+ 1+ years of production experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience working with larger parts and machines.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.

· Work from bills of material, purchasing lists, shipping documents and parts/ shop supplies
· Self-motivation to identify, analyze and independently work to find solutions to flow issues is essential.
· Ability to learn and understand critical processes and operations in assigned areas.
· Resourcefulness in accomplishing objectives and completing tasks.
