About the Position:
The Data Center Electrician is responsible for the operations of the Data Center infrastructure components including but not limited to Mechanical Systems; Chillers, CRAC, CRAH, pumps, condensers and Electrical Systems; UPS, Generators, ATS, batteries and DC plants.

Install AC and DC circuits from PDU to Customer Cabinets
Manage all aspects of the Mechanical and Electrical operations within the Data Centers, to include:

480 V Systems
DC Power Plants
Manage and track cooling capacity, temperatures and efficiency throughout the Data Centers
Manage and track electrical capacity, UPS loads, customer consumption and breaker availability
Maintain detailed site specification documentation of As-Builts, Single-Lines and pre-sales spec sheets
Plan physical environment installs including capacity expansions, system upgrades, and new CRAC, In-Row cooling, UPS, distribution panels, etc.
Responsible to lead the troubleshooting process and repairs in case of events or equipment failure. Make recommendations to prevent reoccurrence of such events.
Optimize cooling and electrical distribution for optimal PUE
Schedule, manage and document vendor provided preventive maintenances per the manufacturer's specifications of all equipment
Review and approve all facilities maintenance tasks/MOPS when required as part of change management system
Oversee and monitor all facilities record keeping
Maintain accurate site documentation such as maintenance records, power consumption, temperature trends, PUE trends, etc.
Ensure that best practices are adhered to in areas of cooling and electrical documentation
Participate in pre-sales engineering of Customer solutions
Manage installs against aggressive schedules
Participate in facilities post incident reviews as required
Participate in regular facilities audits

Electrician
Redwood Materials is looking for a motivated and accomplished Journeyman Electrician to join the Facilities Infrastructure Engineering and Construction team to work on all phases of our industrial construction projects. This will include our greenfield recycling and production facilities as well as retrofitting existing operational facilities. Skills in all areas of electrical are not necessarily required, but the job can and will involve a variety of electrical disciplines and a strong candidate will be able to perform a variety of electrical tasks from distribution power, lighting and control panels to low voltage to fire alarms.
Responsibilities will include:
Working as a team with the entire construction department, the construction electrician performs a new installation of: power distribution, transformers, and lighting, temporary construction power and electrical equipment up to 480 VAC.
Maintaining and troubleshooting various types of electrical components.
Use of complex electrical schematics and blueprints to plan work scopes, install requested improvements, and troubleshoot and correct problems.
Consulting manuals, reading and interpreting diagrams, P&IDs, blueprints, and schematics.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Reads, interprets, and executes drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical code specifications
Tests electrical and equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
Installs, repairs, and/or replaces AC/DC motors and drives, motors, starters or relays
Installs repairs, or replaces electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, support structures, fiber-optic, line assemblies, lighting, and alternative electrical parts
Installs, repairs, or replaces generators and industrial storage batteries
Performs preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems
Installs electrical circuits, panels, conduit, protecting devices, switches, and equipment required to accommodate the NEC
Corrects connections and wiring on equipment controls
Collaborates with other workers and crew members to assist with work as necessary
May be assigned to mentor, coach and manage Electrical Apprentice employees
Other duties as assigned

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our renewable energy team. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be a key contributor to the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar energy systems. Your expertise in electrical systems and renewable energy technology will ensure the safe and efficient operation of solar installations while adhering to industry standards and regulations. Electricians must be well-versed in residential wiring and able to coordinate with multiple crew members during the installation process. This position will require the individual to have the ability to communicate with other crew members and our corporate office effectively and efficiently.
Essential Duties:
• Ensure that work is performed in a professional manner to conform to existing national and local building codes.
• Work cooperatively with team members to complete residential solar installations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system components to resolve electrical issues.
• Lead the installation of electrical systems that interconnect the solar array to the grid.
• Ensure work performed is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes.
Key Competencies:
• Possession of either national or state journeyman electrician license.
• Working knowledge of current NEC codes.
• Must have working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels.
• PV Solar installation experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be experienced with all required hand/power tools associated with the electrical trade.
• Ability to read and interpret single line drawings.
• Must be comfortable working from ladders and at heights.
