How we invest in our staff:
We provide the required 40-hour training in addition to hands-on training with our skilled team of BCBAs and RBTs before taking the proctored RBT exam
We also provide our RBTs with extensive 1:1 training on individual students as well as a list of competencies to pass prior to being approved to work with each client independently
Similarly, we aim to provide 10-20% monthly supervision in which our BCBAs provide feedback and training on treatment protocols and individualized programming
About the RBT:
RBTs implement 1:1 behavioral intervention programs to persons of all ages with autism and related disorders under the supervision of a BCBA. As an RBT, you'll have direct influence on client success.
Treatment programs are designed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. You will be provided with extensive initial and ongoing training throughout your career leaving room for growth opportunities!

Direct therapy implementation using trained ABA skills

Receiving direct supervision under a BCBA

Overview of Role:

Partner with other providers to encourage and help patients receive the behavioral support necessary to impact their overall health.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides brief intervention and consultation in real time to patients and interventions provided are helpful to both patients and referring members of the care team.
Responsible for the assessment, treatment planning and episodes of brief, goal focused therapy for established Clinica patients.
Actively participates and utilizes supervision feedback (both from the CMD and the BH Program Manager) to improve patient care.
Responsible for crisis intervention counseling as referred by providers. Acts as a consultant to other staff on skillful and effective intervention with patients, including crisis intervention.
Manages/monitors mental health referrals to CMHC's for patients with higher behavioral health needs.
Responsible for resolving conflicts in a professional manner and is a model for strong interpersonal communication skills with all staff.
Manages and strives to achieve the target number of patient encounters and satisfies minimum documentation requirements for all services rendered.
Responsible for follow-up of high-risk patients, especially patients with depression as indicated by the depression registry's targeted outcome measures.
Functions as a group visit team health educator, specifically for patients with chronic pain, depression and anxiety.
Coordinates care for complex patients with co-morbid mental and physical health conditions.
Demonstrates knowledge of annual universal depression and substance abuse screenings and effectively provides necessary follow up services.
Acts as a consultant and resource to members of the care team on skillful and effective interventions with patients with chronic illnesses and mental health diagnoses.
Assists with staff training as needed.
Provides on-site training for mandatory reporting procedures.

Provide 1:1 play-based instruction to clients using techniques from the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), as directed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), in home, school, and community settings.
Support clients and their families in achieving individualized and meaningful outcomes (for ex: learning to communicate their wants & needs, independently dressing themselves, or using coping strategies in place of challenging behaviors).
Utilize safe & appropriate behavior management strategies when interacting with clients, some of whom may engage in physically challenging behavior(s).

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Experience and Interest in Child Interaction: Prior experience, formal or informal, working with children.

The behavior interventionist is responsible for working closely with students, teachers, and parents to build and maintain a positive, safe school climate and culture that promotes personal, civic and academic excellence. Position Schedule: Teachers are paid year round on a salary. Their student contact days (177) and their professional development days and parent conference days adds up to a 195 day work year. However, the work teachers do outside those days planning, reflecting and pursuing professional growth is also an important part of being an excellent teacher. Teachers are expected to be on campus ready for students by 7:30 am and to stay until 4:00 each day school is in session, and to 4:30 on Fridays when we have early release days for students followed by teacher P.D. or planning meetings.
