In setting professional goals, includes attainment of case management certification. Qualifications Education: Academic degree in nursing (BSN or higher) preferred. Experience: This position requires extensive knowledge of disease management to include diagnostics, treatment and prognosis, community resources and healthcare reimbursement. Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience required. Relevant experience in one or more of the following healthcare areas preferred: Coordination of community resources. Care management of diverse patient populations. Ambulatory Care. Knowledge of levels of care throughout the health care continuum to include; inpatient, emergency care, rehab, home health, hospice, long-term acute care, SNF, ICF, ALF with an overall understanding of utilization management and resource management. Working knowledge of Care Management models across the continuum. Life Skills Autism Academy is looking for exceptional behavior technicians! Candidates must hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or be willing to complete a 40 hour training course and sit for their RBT competency exam within 45 days of employment. Registered Behavior Technicians help the development of children who are on the Autism Spectrum by providing ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Therapy in a 1:1 setting under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. This therapy is used to increase critical developmental skills such as language and communication, social, and school readiness behaviors.. Pay Range: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience, certification level, and highest level of education Behavior Technician job responsibilities include: Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training. Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as outlined in client's individualized treatment plan built by BCBA/BC. Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior. Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with the client's individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols. Ensure documentation is completed on time and following established procedures. Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by BCBA/BC. Utilize safe and appropriate procedures when working with clients and appropriately report all critical incidents and safety concerns.
