Autism Behavior Technician (RBT)
Behavior Technician Job 5 miles from West Chicago
Do you have a passion for helping others, but aren't sure where to start? At Behavioral Perspective (BPI), you can become a Behavior Technician and provide much needed therapy services to children, teens, and young adults with Autism. We are looking to add team members to our new West Chicago clinic with flexible availability from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM M-F.
What is a Behavior Technician?
Behavior Technicians (BTs) are paraprofessionals certified in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). BTs serve clients with Autism by providing direct 1:1 therapy sessions. BTs work closely with managers and clinical supervisors (BCBAs) to help set clients up for success.
How will you make an impact?
The primary responsibility of a Behavior Technician is to work 1:1 with clients. Your work helps clients have the opportunity to grow and advocate for themselves, develop important life skills, and create paths to communicate more effectively with others. This isn't your average childcare job; there is so much more to it! You'll be spending time helping clients develop a range of life skills, such as teaching socially significant behaviors, managing challenging behaviors, and developing social skills!
We are looking for serious, dedicated individuals who are willing to serve as a role model and advocate for the clients we serve. You'll have good days and challenging days, but you'll always see the impact you're making in the clients' lives.
The feeling of seeing a learner reach a goal that you've been helping them to achieve is difficult to put into words. It's no small thing, and you contribute directly to those wins.
What experience do I need?
We are looking for BTs of all levels of experience. We provide training for new technicians, as well as growth opportunities for experienced technicians!
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Experience working in ABA or similar fields (preferred)
Reliable transportation (required)
Regular, reliable attendance (required)
What does BPI offer?
Hourly rates commensurate with experience.
Regular pay increases for milestones, such as obtaining your RBT certification or graduating
Paths for growth - BTs are able to grow in their roles through our tiered BT program or through internal advancement in other departments.
Work with experienced therapists to gain more skills and knowledge.
A professional development allowance you can use to grow in your career!
Health, dental, and vision benefits for all full-time employees (30+ hours per week)
Eleven paid holidays, PTO accrual, and a flexible attendance policy for you to take time off when you need to! Don't worry about missing out on pay due to learner cancellations, either!
Employee assistance program, discounts, staff shout-out rewards, and recognition for important employment milestones
Other benefits, including 401K, parental leave, disability, and life insurance options
