Responsibilities:
A Registered Behavior Technician provides behavioral intervention services to children with special needs. Registered Behavior Technicians are responsible for implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) based programs as directed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Provides daily modeling and teacher education, ensuring behavior intervention strategies are implemented with high treatment fidelity.
Works with crisis team to de-escalate behaviors when applicable.

The Mental Health Technician will provide direct services to residents, including assistance with personal hygiene and ADL's, as well as assistance with all tasks necessary for maintaining a therapeutic community and residence.
Conducting activities with residents, including educational, social and leisure programs. Inclusion of resident's input and suggestions in the planning process involved for all activities.
The Mental Health Technician is responsible for documentation in clinical charts and residential logs as required, including progress notes on assigned residents. Immediate reporting of all resident crisis and/or unusual incidents to Shift Supervisor.
Participation in meetings and training sessions as assigned, including but not limited to Quality Improvement Program, and multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings.

Malvern Behavioral Health is currently seeking a Mental Health Technician to work the night shift from 11:00pm - 7:30am. This position is a full time, benefits eligible position. Position includes an every other weekend commitment. Malvern has recently increased their shift differential!
The mental health technician assists in the direct care & management of patients across a young adult age range with medical and behavioral issues as directed by the treatment team. Assists with unit programming to facilitate the carryover of therapy issues, leisure activities, and activities of daily living with the functional ability of patients and with consideration for the patient's level of growth and development.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training:
High School diploma or equivalent or combination of education/experience.
Prefer bachelor's degree or college courses in health care, mental health, recreational therapy, education, or human growth & development.
Experience:
No minimum.
Prefer one year's experience as a nurse's aide, mental health aide, psych aide, or the equivalent in a rehabilitation, psychiatric, or similar setting.
Licensure/Certification:
Current CPR Certification (American Health Association Healthcare Provider)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires sufficient body mobility to accomplish essential functions. Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel with ease.
