About the Position
We have an opening for a Residential Therapist to provide on-site clinical services for our Columbia Rose RTF and Willamette Rose RTF programs in Portland, Oregon. This position provides clinical services and supervision for individuals affected by a severe and persistent mental illness in a residential treatment setting. This position requires the ability to assist with training and clinical oversight of the Residential Associates who provide the 24-hour residential support services to the residents. The Residential Therapist position requires the ability to perform a Comprehensive Mental Health Assessment, Assessment Updates and Treatment Plan. The Residential Therapist will also provide clinical oversight and consultation to facility staff and liaison with other community providers. About the Position
We are looking for a Residential Treatment Therapist to join our team for our Multnomah County region. The Residential Treatment Therapist will serve as a role model through the provision of recovery-oriented interventions to promote and nurture a healthy treatment culture. Provides support under the supervision and direction of the classroom teacher and Registered Behavior Technician, to individual students in functional skill domains, including communication, self-care, social skills, community use, leisure and work. Contribute to and cooperate with the classroom instructional team.
Participates actively in collecting specific data related to students' behaviors, and contributes to the development of students' Behavior Support Plans through sharing data and observations.
Manages student behaviors by adhering to the Behavior Support Plan developed for the student; utilizes principles of de-escalation at all times.
Takes action, or assists in taking action, to seclude or restrain students who are at risk of harming themselves or others by following district-approved restraint/seclusion procedures.
Follows guidelines for use of the least intrusive intervention and best practices consistent with the students' needs and disabilities; provides feedback and adjusts the nature and frequency with which positive reinforcement is provided to students.
Builds students' ability to communicate through consistent use of communication methods, implementing them with fidelity as instructed by the speech/language pathologist and classroom teacher.
Provides for students' personal care needs including feeding, toileting, tube feeding, catheterization, and diaper changing.
Supports students on transportation/bussing to and from program, as needed.
