The Behavior Intervention Specialist assists with the delivery of comprehensive behavioral management and support services for CHS children and staff. The primary purpose of this position is to develop and implement individual skill work and social skills groups for children; collaborate and develop behavior plans and participate in individualized Child Study Teams when needed. In addition, the Behavior Intervention Specialist will be responsible for ensuring continuity of care and safety for children in crisis. Responsibilities:
Direct and Indirect Support of Children
Assist with the operation and quality assurance for all child support programs
Develop and implement individual skill work and social skills groups for children utilizing evidence based social and emotional learning materials across all 3 tiers
Complete progress monitoring and evaluate service effectiveness for care rendered on an ongoing basis
Complete progress notes and summaries for children needing behavioral support programs
Create individualized behavior plans for children as appropriate (within the context of Child Study Teaming)
Maintain a high standard of professional ethics and expectations
Respond to and effectively manage children who are in crisis
Follow all CHS policies and procedures
Consultation and collaboration with families, Child Study Teams, teachers, Family Success, and Health Services staff for children receiving behavioral support

What qualifications do I need to join the ATS team?
1. PA License as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, or behavior specialist AND 1 of the Following:
BCaBA/BCBA Certification
Minimum of 1 year of full time experience providing ABA services and 12 credits in ABA
Minimum of 1 year full time experience providing ABA under the supervision of a BCBA, AND 40 hours of ABA training
An inherent desire to train, supervise and develop new BHTs and RBTs, to help support exceptional clinical outcomes for our kiddos.
A valid driver's license with proof of car insurance and a good driving record is required.

MHS is seeking a Part-Time Behavior Support Specialist II (BSS-II) to assist with the provision of comprehensive behavioral management services to students and staff. The primary purpose of this position is to provide students with structured learning opportunities that promote essential skill development necessary for successful interpersonal relationships and management of their own behaviors. This position requires the ability to communicate and work effectively with others (supporting Sponsors, Scholastics, Home Life, and Student Health Services staff members), teamwork and cooperation with other adults throughout the school.
The BSS-II position requires the ability to implement individual skill work and psychoeducational skills groups for students utilizing evidence based social and emotional learning materials for youth ranging in age from grades PreK-12. Structuring the environment, behavior modification, behavior prevention and crisis intervention strategies are crucial. The current vacancy is to be placed at the Health Center and hours are flexible based on students' needs and up to 29 hours per week, but most hours would fall between:

During the summer, the BSS-II provides crisis intervention support and behavioral services programming through the YRE program. As the psychological climate of the school's programs evolves, this position will assist in the provision of proactive recommendations and activities to provide for ethical and appropriate comprehensive behavioral interventions. The interventions are meant to enhance the students' learning, emotional, social and physical well-being.
The Behavior Support Specialists are represented by Milton Hershey School Association (MHEA). Hourly pay rate: $27.11 to $43.33, pay is determined based on experience. As an Assistant Behavior Support Specialist you will assist in the development and training of other RBTs within the center, oversee the preschool program as well as assist the BCBAs with intakes and assessments.
Essential Functions:
Provide support to other Behavior Technicians
Assist BCBAs with completing assessments and re-evaluations
