What The Foreclosure Prevention Counselor Does:
Assist clients in completing CAMBA intake applications and forms.
Conduct legal intake and assessment of clients and clients' families' situations and needs.
Conduct home visits in order to perform intake and follow-up services.
Assist clients in completing packages and/or applications for loan modifications, fair hearings and other administrative proceedings.
Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, legal codes, etc.
Prepare legal documents such as subpoenas, letters of advocacy, affidavits, and forms for administrative hearings.
Investigate facts and law of case to determine causes of action/defenses and prepare case accordingly.
File motions, briefs, pleadings, legal memos, and appeals with court clerk.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive document/client files including up to date case note documentation.
Deliver or direct delivery of subpoenas to witnesses and parties to action.
Follow up with clients and other organizations regarding client progress toward legal goals/program outcomes.

Recommend and implement strategies to persuade clients to participate fully in their own legal process.

Experience with federal funding sources, compliance, and regulatory policy across federal agencies are required. Substantial litigation experience, including from the client side, is also a plus. You must be a proactive leader, effective manager, excellent writer and communicator, and facilitator of a collaborative environment. You must be able to identify legal issues and risk across various units and operations. You must possess excellent time management and organizational skills and be able to oversee a wide range of priorities and competing tasks. Minimum Qualifications:

Duties and Responsibilities:
Function in a supervisory capacity to provide oversight to all areas of programming including the training of Tech I's, Tech II's and BT's.
Assist in the development, facilitation, and follow up training in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Facilitate and assist in the development and identification of resources and support information for clients and their families.
Provide model teaching and other direct instructional support including but not limited to, practicum supervision/teaching, class instruction and in-service instruction to other support professionals.
Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools, to conduct functional assessments and analyses when appropriate, and to develop appropriate behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
Provide ongoing support and training to BT's, Tech II's, and other ABA implementers, and other individuals in support roles for families.
Apply and manage ongoing data collection system to establish a baseline and programmatic efficacy for all clients. Analyze data on a frequent basis to serve as an ongoing basis to guide programs.
Develop behavior plan/treatment plans for all consumers with a focus on teaching and other antecedent strategies for reducing problematic behaviors.
