Manufacturing Associate III - O'Hara - 5:30am - 3:50pm Manufacturing Associate III - O'Hara - 5:30am - 3:50pm We are currently seeking motivated colleagues to contribute to meaningful work in our local manufacturing plants. Bayer Benefits Purpose: This advanced position exists to provide experienced resources to assemble and support the various medical device manufacturing processes with the ability to perform minimum of 50% of procedures in the product lines or cells. This position will also provide a supporting role in the way of quality control in combination with advanced assembly. These functions are to be performed in a timely manner to meet quality and productivity goals of the department. This role will also assist the process coordinator or group lead in any training or cross training efforts as needed. The role will also interact between many departments to transmit information and recommend solutions to design, process and quality problems/non-problems. This is a position that requires leadership skills, a positive attitude and demonstrates a willingness to support teamwork. This position requires that the individual is flexible, adaptable and willing to move where needed to support the Manufacturing Production floor. This position may also mentor for entry-level assemblers. This position will incorporate both Assembly and Quality inspections and requires more than one years' experience at Bayer or in a position with related work experience. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES A day in the life of a Manufacturing Associate III includes: * Advanced mechanical assembly, including ability to integrate all circuit boards, wiring harness, units and mechanical assemblies as necessary, utilizing appropriate tooling equipment in an FDA regulated industry in a timely manner; * Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), good manufacturing practices (GMP), traceability and material review board (MRB); * Ability to work independently with little direction on day-to-day decisions and work direction; * Ability to perform all automated testing techniques and requirements; * Established Communication skills with the ability to utilize applicable terminology. Interpersonal skills to interact professionally and constructive with the lead, supervisor and coworkers to enhance teamwork and to foster positive working relationships; * Supporting production or quality control inspections in the Manufacturing Areas; * Works with production supervisor and/or engineers and technicians to resolve line issues and suggests improvements; * Appropriate attention to detail and understanding of continuous improvement/lean initiatives; Training: * To support Group Lead/Process Coordinator with training needs; * Guidance is given to new trainees and assemblers on complicated aspects of the assembly work; Paperwork: * Maintain accurate records/documentation related to quality, work in progress, test results, labor and special products; * Data collection; Testing: * Testing product as require;. * Performing Quality Control measurements and functions; * Support New product Builds. Required Qualifications * High School Diploma/GED; * At least 2 years experience performing Medical Device assembly or technical assembly experience performing in a solid and consistent level; * Understanding of or the ability to quickly learn BAYER's quality systems policies; * Ability to perform technical writing; * Ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced changing situations; * Proven sound judgment, continuous improvement, and customer focus; * Demonstrated adaptability and teamwork skills; * Ability to interpret technical drawings and visual work instructions. Preferred Qualifications * Associate's Degree * The ability to perform all major tasks and at least 50% of all operations within the Bayer manufacturing cells/lines with no assistance. Bayer Benefits YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of this role, Material Handler, are to: Follow all documented processes and procedures; Maintain physical transport of materials and complete all required Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP) transactions using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and material handling equipment; Finish product packaging using visual work instructions according to all regulatory requirements; Complete all required transactional steps to receive and ship material. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED); Demonstrate working knowledge of MicroSoft (MS) Office applications; Able to operate independently; Demonstrate problem solving abilities; Support strong attention to detail; Able to work in team environment; Able to quickly learn new Information Technology (IT) systems and tools.
