Summary: Prepares and serves cocktails, serves food items in the bar area, and for handles currency transactions by performing the following duties. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Greets and serves customers in a professional and timely manner. Prepares alcoholic, non-alcoholic, and other beverages for customers and servers in accordance with standard recipes. Prepares all condiments to garnish drink orders. Takes food orders and enters them into computer. Applies knowledge of the full menu, beverages and other restaurant information such as restaurant hours and types of payment. Maintains a clean bar at all times wiping bar regularly, disposing of debris and bottles and washing glasses behind the bar as needed. Checks and maintains stock of glassware, beverages and bar supplies and communicates shortages to appropriate person. Assists with answering the telephone and taking messages to give to the proper personnel when time allows. Records currency transactions accurately on computer and tenders proper change. Processes charge transaction through charge transmittal machine and prints, reviews and submits a daily charge report to the Manager. Completes all assigned opening and closing duties to prepare bar for efficient operation. Communicates health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to management. Maintains updated customer copies of receipt in front of guests at all times. The Server/Bartender at Five Iron Golf goes beyond simply taking orders, guiding guests through the menu and offering recommendations that elevate both the dining and gaming experience and the overall guest satisfaction, while also driving sales. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Deliver exceptional service to guests, ensuring a fun and enjoyable experience Maintain extensive knowledge of our food and beverage offerings. Present menus, answer questions about menu items and alcohol offerings, make recommendations, and use upselling techniques Use point-of-sale terminals to enter orders and process payments accurately Serve food and beverages in a timely and courteous manner Manage inventory and order supplies to ensure bar is well-stocked Ensure the bar, golf simulators, and surrounding areas are clean and guest-ready Create fresh and new ideas for specials, cocktails, and promotions. Take pride in ensuring guests' enjoyment by actively checking in with guests at the bar and in assigned simulators during their visit to ensure satisfaction and promptly address any concerns Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all of our technology, additional products, and promotions Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food handling, alcohol service, and cleanliness Verify guests' legal drinking age Assist with closing duties as needed Required Qualifications: Server, bar, and/or hospitality experience encouraged but NOT required. Upbeat energy, enthusiasm, and positive attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time. Ability to obtain proper licensing and certifications for the location. Meet state minimum age to bartend. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
