The Bar Back assists in cleaning the bar, preparing garnishes, ensuring the bar is well stocked with napkins, straws, glassware, garnishes, and all other necessities, as well as taking on other duties to support the Bartender in ensuring the bar operates smoothly.
The bar back should be knowledgeable about menu items, attentive, and focused on providing the best possible service in a

RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Always greet each guest with a smile and friendly greeting
● Assisting with opening and closing duties, such as restocking the bar, cleaning and emptying waste
● Cleaning and checking taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly, making minor repairs or changing
out kegs, if needed.
● Keeping the bar clean by following opening and closing duties as per usual or setting up for events or out-of-the ordinary
service
● Learning about menu items, drinks garnishes and other items pertaining to the bar area.
● Must ensure the bar is fully stocked and all prep is done before service, as well as restocked during service
● Maintain records and report levels of usage to assist in reordering process and ensuring that delivered items are stored
properly.

● Assist with maintaining storage spaces in good order i.e liquor room and walk-in coolers including weekly deep cleaning
procedures
● Assist with receiving orders and storing in designated and correct areas using their FIFO system.
● Fill out order sheets and assist beverage team with orders and other miscellaneous tasks pertaining to the bar areas
● Understand the importance of guest satisfaction and focus on continuous improvement and betterment
● Always go above and beyond when interacting with guests and address any inquiries, concerns or complaints with the
immediate superior, preferably a bartender or bar manager.
