DUTIES:
Prepares alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks following a variety of established and complex recipes. Serves patrons directly or delivers to wait staff.
Ensures bar is in a presentable and sanitary condition. Assures an adequate stock level is maintained, sets up storeroom and work area to permit easy access to stock items. Maintains work area neat and clean. Washes bar equipment, glassware, and utensils following proper sanitation procedures. Stocks services bars as required.
Responsible for the proper operation of the bar, receipts, and inventory accountability. Assists in taking inventory and maintaining records on which drinks and liquors are in greatest demand. Accepts money, operates cash register, and makes change. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability.
Completes required training in the serving of alcohol beverages before starting work. Annual, local refresher training is required and must be documented. Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem, or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures.
Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Must have working knowledge of sanitation procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Minimum:
Experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale which includes knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients such as liquors, soda water, sugar, bitters and fruit and the ability to mix exotic drinks.
Experience recognizing intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolving the problem or seeking assistance.
Experience following proper cash handling procedures.
Must be able to stoop, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing 5 to 10 pounds, pull and push objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to and over 40 pounds.
Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages.

Summary:

Serving only a handful of beers, wines, and food out of historic train cars, this dive is truly a landmark of its own. We are seeking Bartenders for our Summer 2025 season to come take care of our own.
About Denali National Park & Preserve and Doyon/Aramark Joint Venture:
Summer days in Alaska stretch nearly endlessly, with up to 20 hours of daylight on the Summer Solstice. Spanning 6.2 million acres, Denali National Park & Preserve is home to Denali, the highest peak in North America, and attracts over half a million visitors annually. Conveniently accessible by road-4.5 hours from Anchorage and 2 hours from Fairbanks.
Doyon Limited and Aramark have teamed up in a Joint Venture as the Denali National Park & Preserve's Concessionaire. Open May to September, our operation manages the transportation, retail, guest service and food and beverage concessions with our client; The National Park Service. By road, Our 100 Blue Bird Bus Fleet takes guests past the 15-mile public access point daily during summer months, allowing people to hike, view wildlife, climb, and camp where few people have set foot.

JOB SUMMARY
The Bartender is responsible for preparing cocktails, delivering exceptional customer service, assisting in the management of the beverage program, inventory and ordering control, maintaining a clean and organized bar and lounge, and beverage training and development of hotel staff. ONBOARD ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Living Conditions-
Crew live in close quarters with 4 to 8 people of all genders per room depending on the vessel. Having your own room is not an option due to limited berthing.
Length of Work Shift-
Physically able to work 12 hours per day, 7 days a week for 6 to 8 weeks at a time. Rotations off the vessel are usually 2 to 3 weeks.
Mobility-
Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, kneeling, crawling, and pushing/pulling. Must ascend and descend stairs and ladders, sometimes while carrying tools or objects. Able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
Handling/Strength-
Able to handle, lift, and lower objects totaling 50 pounds between the ground/deck level to a height of about 4 to 6 feet, and able to repeat these movements. Able to carry these objects up to 100 feet continuously for 20 minutes.
Environmental Conditions-
Able to work in all weather conditions, around loud noise, in small spaces, and fit through a 28-inch-wide hatch.

Summer days in Alaska stretch nearly endlessly, with up to 20 hours of daylight on the Summer Solstice. Spanning 6.2 million acres, Denali National Park & Preserve is home to Denali, the highest peak in North America, and attracts over half a million visitors annually. Conveniently accessible by road-4.5 hours from Anchorage and 2 hours from Fairbanks-this breathtaking area offers daily bus services along the park road throughout the warm summer months, providing opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, climbing, and camping.
Located just 7 miles south of the entrance to Denali National Park, the Denali Park Village Hotel operates from May to September. Our guests enjoy comfortable accommodations, exceptional dining options, and live entertainment in a stunning natural setting.
Position Details: This exciting seasonal role is available from May 8 to September 17, 2025. We offer competitive wages, comfortable on-site housing, and a variety of fun activities to keep your summer vibrant. Stay active in our on-site gym and enjoy an inclusive meal plan for just $15 a day.

Job Responsibilities
* Greets guests and takes orders, processes cash and credit card transactions
* Mixes and serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
* May include providing servers drinks from the service well
* Adheres to all established alcohol service policies and safe drinking guidelines including checking patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for alcohol consumption
* Adheres to cash handling policies
* Sets up and breaks down workstations, including cleaning and sanitizing
* Takes inventory counts and ensures product is stocked to appropriate levels
* Provides excellent guest service, anticipating guests' needs and ensuring guest satisfaction
* Maintains a positive demeanor towards guests, clients, co-workers, etc.
* Ensures security of company assets

Qualifications
* Must be 21 years of age or older.
* Previous experience as a bartender preferred.
* Knowledge of bartending principles and recipes and current trends.
* Able to obtain all Aramark and state/local required alcohol service certifications.
* Displays phenomenal hospitality, friendliness, and comprehensive beverage knowledge.
* Demonstrates organizational & multi-tasking skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
* Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lb.
* Enjoys working in a fast-paced fun work environment.
* Ideal candidate will be available to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
