Previous experience working as a barista is highly desirable but not required. Ability to actively listen, communicate clearly, and think creatively is necessary. The barista must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to work as part of a team, and to build relationships. Competence to be trained in areas including French press, dialing in espresso, steaming milk, as well as general knowledge of coffee product information. Barista must be able to follow restaurant safety regulations as well as instruction on how to properly utilize machinery, lift boxes and bags, and safely carry out repetitive arm and hand motions. The Parks Crew Member is a professional employee who is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the upkeep, maintenance, and enhancement of the Borough's environmental programming, parks, and natural spaces. This position will also assist with the stormwater management program, general cleanliness of the downtown spaces, and support for Borough-sponsored events. The position is part-time seasonal, hours shift seasonally and may range from early morning to late evening. Normal schedule is Monday through Friday, with weekend support as needed. Employees may work 10-30 hours a week with flexible scheduling but must meet a required minimum of 10 hours a week. Roles and Responsibilities Parks and Tree Maintenance 1. Maintain trees within the Borough's public parks and other areas as appropriate through routine maintenance. This will also include assistance with new tree plantings. 2. Ensure the cleanliness, upkeep, and maintenance of all park areas and associated amenities. 3. Maintain upkeep of community garden spaces. 4.
