As a Host, you are the first and last person each guest sees. Providing a warm hello and goodbye probably feels second nature. You are always on top of the organization for table times and ensuring each guests' seating specifications are met (if possible of course).
What we will ask of you:
* Responsible for taking reservations using the online reservations system in OpenTable
* Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival and thank guests as they leave
* When seating is limited, provide guests with estimated waiting time, notify party when table becomes available and accommodate special seating requests for all when possible
* Act as a liaison between the kitchen and dining room, and relay messages to support staff and managers as needed

Greet, interact and bid farewell to guests in a warm and genuine and enthusiastic fashion
Use excellent communication skills with guests, staff including verbal, written and body language
Maintain a clean and organized work environment including stocking of supplies, polishing cutlery/glassware, folding napkins, cleaning menus, sanitizing tables, etc.
Provide lateral service including assisting in clearing tables, carry plates to dishwashing area when needed
Maintain guest profile, preferences in a database for distribution to staff

Responsibilities- Review floor plan and reservation book daily; create a seating chart.
- Set up the host station according to the checklist.
- Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
- Seat guests according to the seating chart, server rotation, and guest preference and provides guests with menus.
- Maintain control of the seating and wait times.
- Clean and maintain host station; contribute to the cleanliness of the dining and bar areas.
