Banquet Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Follow through with the proper and timely set-up and execution of banquet events, including setting up tables, chairs, linens, silver, and china. Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure rooms are set according to the contracted specifications. Communicate effectively with lead catering staff regarding any special needs for the event. Assist in ensuring events run on time, passing relevant information to the next staff member on duty. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Provide high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas. Deliver exceptional dining experiences by serving food and drinks, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling drinks. Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to customers, including properly opening and pouring wine at the table. Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting. Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or as directed by a supervisor. Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently. Understand and effectively communicate the products and services available at the Aquarium of the Pacific. Qualifications: Education: Must be 18 years or older to apply. High school diploma or GED required. Certifications: Current ServeSafe certification required. Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a server. Skills and Abilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and produce high-quality service. Positive attitude with a strong focus on customer service. Strong knowledge of sanitary practices. Good work ethic and ability to work well with other staff members. Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail. Physical Demands: Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.
