Position Purpose This position serve members by completing account transactions accurately while enhancing our members' financial lives by offering appropriate products and services. Essential Duties * Process all teller activities including check cashing, account withdrawals, deposits, account transfers, loan payments, account validation and account inquiries. * Process mail and night drop transactions. * Review and analyze incoming checks for potential fraud, proper endorsements and determining proper check holds. * Assist members with general inquiries including check reorders, investigating check clearings, and account reconciliation. * Promote, educate and cross-sell credit union products and services. * Responsible for the security and accuracy of cash drawers, corporate checks, gift cards, and U.S. postage stamps, etc. * Participate in the sales and service program to meet individual, branch and corporate expectations and goals. * Must be flexible and willing to maintain a work schedule determined by the demographic needs of the branch location. * Must be willing to assist at other branch locations as needed. * Follows policy and procedures related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and Customer Due Diligence (CDD). * Must possess effective knowledge of Vibe Credit Union's products and services. * Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective, professional business relations with members and co-workers. * Maintains privacy of member account information. * Completes all required reports and daily assigned responsibilities. * Attends meetings as required. * Ensures that work area and branch is clean, secure and well maintained. * Assumes responsibility and performs other special assignments as needed. Job Description: Tellers provide our members with the best personal experience possible, processing member banking transactions accurately and efficiently. Tellers cross sell credit union products and services and perform other duties as assigned. Job/Task Functions: Essential to the Position Provide quality service to members and team members as defined by the credit union's service standards at all times. Warmly acknowledge and greet members with a sincere smile upon arrival at one of our offices. Provide comprehensive, prompt, accurate, and efficient member transactions. Receive share drafts/checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verify amounts, examine share drafts/checks for proper endorsement, and accurately enter deposits into computer system. Process withdrawals from accounts and/or share draft/check cashing, verify amounts, and accurately enter withdrawals into computer system. Cash share drafts/checks/credit union checks after proper verification of signatures and member balances according to credit union policies and procedures. Receive loan and credit card payments and accurately enter payments into computer system. Issue miscellaneous products such as money orders, credit union checks and VISA gift cards. Maintain an individually assigned cash drawer, balance it at end of each shift, and compare totaled amount to computer-generated totals. Research and resolve discrepancies and report any discrepancies to your supervisor. Assist other tellers research and resolve discrepancies with their drawers. Assist in opening the branch and other morning duties; assist in balancing the branch and other nightly duties. Explain and proactively mention credit union services such as savings, loans, debit and credit cards, on-line banking, etc. When necessary, direct members to the appropriate person for specific information and assistance. Assist members in completing various forms (i.e. transaction slips, payroll deduction/ACH, change of address, etc.). Comply with and maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all related policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Ensure that all information and transactions regarding credit union members are kept confidential. Enforce strict adherence to established security procedures. Perform other duties as assigned Required Hours: 9:15 AM to 6:15 PM Friday 9:15 AM to 1:15 PM Saturday Flexible schedule Monday through Thursday No Saturday hours during July and August Starting Wage: Competitive wage based on experience. Full Time Providing accurate and efficient transaction services to customers. Controlling and balancing all financial instruments processed and assisting in overall branch services. Essential Functions: Welcoming customers to the bank in a warm, friendly manner. Handling transactions efficiently and accurately, including accepting account deposits and withdrawals and verifying cash and endorsements of checks.
