The position of Teller I provides superior and quality customer service. Provides customers efficient and accurate transaction processing. Sells the Banks products and services. Provides customer referrals for new products and services on a daily basis. Considerable customer contact required. Exercises sound judgment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Promote and maintain positive relations with all contacts, customers and potential customers.
Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
Contribute to the fulfillment of department and company objectives and goals.
Perform as a team member in allocation and coordinating the work flow.
Will be involved in ordering, receiving, verifying, and distributing cash.
Operates a tellers window to serve the banks customers by: Accepting retail and commercial deposits, verifying cash and endorsements and giving customers their receipts; Identifying customers and cashing checks and savings withdrawals; Accepting checking and savings deposits; Verifying customer signatures; Providing additional customer services including Cashiers Checks, Money Orders, etc.; Balances cash drawer daily; Accepts payments for all loans; Accepts wire transfer information.
May be responsible for bank opening/closing.
Admits customers to safe deposit boxes.
Open and Close Vault and night deposit.
Promotes the banks products and services; consistently cross-sells bank products at every opportunity.
Makes a concentrated effort to solve customer problems.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
The position of Teller I has no supervisor responsibility.
ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
The employee is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will. The position includes driving a Bank or personal owned vehicle approximately 5% of the time which includes exposure to the outside weather elements and moving mechanical parts. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc.
The employee in the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 25 pounds), carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching.
