Job Summary
Responsible for following recipes and production guidelines to prepare baked goods while adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures, and promoting customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Follows recipes to prepare cakes, donuts, cookies, and other products according to customer orders or as needed for display.
* Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, shaping, and scoring them.

* Responsible for completion of production list and filling out special order requests, as well as packaging and labeling products.

* Maintains friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, responding to complaints, and assisting in locating and selecting products.

* Promotes product sales through use of suggestive selling initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Follow step by step instructions to measure ingredients and mix dough bases and frostings
Decorating and displaying the finished product
Ensure finished goods meet food safety and quality controls
Greeting customers, answering questions, making recommendations, accepting orders and payment, and providing exceptional customer service
Cleaning and restocking the workstation and ensuring all equipment is sanitized

Base pay starts at $8/hour plus tips (typically $3-4/hr additional)
Applicants will also be expected to be able to work on their feet for several hours at a time and lift potentially heavy objects when necessary. Prior experience is preferred, but not necessary.
Requirements:
Pleasant interactive skills, time and resource management, and planning skills
Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products
Basic math and computer skills
Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, fulfill orders, and create excellent baked goods
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Hiring for early morning, mid-day, and evening/closing shifts.
