Silo Ridge Filed Club is seeking a Baker to join the Food and Beverage Culinary Department.
The Baker will play a vital, supporting role on the culinary team by assisting with baking and pastry preparation, deliveries, and kitchen cleanliness. The Baker will work with a range of ingredients and baking styles, so a diverse knowledge and passion for both pastry and baking is encouraged. Reporting to the Pastry Chef, the Baker will work with all members of the culinary team in the creation of unique and fun dining experiences. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.
Key Responsibilities
The Baker is responsible for creating a wide variety of delicious baked goods, including artisan breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts. Exceptional attention to detail, creativity, and dedication to quality contribute to the overall success of the operation and enhances the dining experience for customers.
Prepare and bake a diverse range of high-quality bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
Measure and mix ingredients to form dough or batter, ensuring accurate measurements and consistent results.
Follow proper fermentation, degassing, proofing and baking techniques.
Responsible for scaling and shaping all breads, loaves, and pastries.
Monitor baking process to ensure proper temperatures, cooking times, and overall quality.
Develop and execute creative and innovative baked goods to enhance the menu and appeal to members and guests.
Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and coordinate daily production schedules.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed.
Stay updated on industry trends and new techniques in baking, incorporating them into menu development and production.

Skills & Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years' baking experience experience in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or cruise-ship environment with exposure to various catering styles and services (e.g. a la carte, buffet) is required

In-depth knowledge of fermentation, degassing, proofing, baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
Experience working with laminated dough, pizza dough, sourdough, etc.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bake the best bread possible using the procedures in the DiBella's Bread Manual
Follow the locations par list for the amount to bake on a daily basis
Keep the bakery clean and organized and report any equipment deficiencies.
Utilize all safety equipment provided to ensure crew and guest safety.
Prepare and serve menu items according to portion guidelines.
Properly set up deli products/items such as cheeses, meats, breads, condiments, sauces, napkins, and wrap paper.
Prepare hot and cold sandwiches at the customer's request.
Display excellent customer service at all times.
Ensure cleanliness of grills, deli counter, counter sink, and more.
Develop a work pace sufficient to handle heavy rushes.
Fulfill all shift duties.
Maintain customer viewed areas and food storage areas in sanitary, orderly condition meeting Health Department standards.
Comply with Health Department Regulations.
Willingness to increase product knowledge over time.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the managers.
Requirements
Some Position Specifics:
Required frequently: standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as the baking manual.
Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, balance friendliness with efficiency, and maintain focus.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.

Requirements:
Responsibilities:
* Shift starting time between 2:00PM and 4:00PM (2nd shift schedule)
* Manage overall production of all baked products in accordance with Panera Bread's and PR Restaurants standards
* Support PR Restaurant's mission, values and purpose
* Successfully work as a key part of a dynamic team
* Adhere to PR Restaurant's division regulations and company policy requirements
* Complete each bake nightly with efficiency & integrity by following the baker timeline
* Follow Panera baking specs to "Gold Standard"
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment by following cleaning task list
* Follow all company safety policies, labeling standards and equipment procedures
* Assist with other café operations as needed
Qualifications:
Requirements:
* Must be at least 18 years of age to apply for this position
* High school diploma or GED (required)
* Minimum 1 - 2 years of baking experience (preferred)
* Overnight experience (preferred, not required)
* Excellent communication skills
* Physical Requirements may include standing for prolonged periods, repeated walking, bending, stretching, & occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
