The Baker is responsible for performing duties as directed by the Bakery Manager and/or Assistant Bakery Manager for the successful operation of the Bakery Department. It is essential that as a Baker, you will present yourself in a professional and courteous manner at all times while performing your defined responsibilities. You are responsible for always maintaining our high standards of Customer Service. Other duties may be assigned as required, depending upon the available time, business volume, and other criteria as determined by your appropriate supervisors and/or Gerrity's Supermarkets. RESPONSIBILITIES
* Competent knowledge of Essential Functions of Baker Apprentice, Cake Decorator and Wrapper positions
* Prepare dough for oven
* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bakery case, prep area, floors, coolers and work area
* Inspect equipment to ensure specific operational performance and preventative maintenance of all bakery equipment
* Assist in finishing and filling donuts and other pastries, pies and cakes as required
* Competent knowledge and application of food preparations and procedures
* Cooperate with other departments when inter-departmental or store wide sales promotions
* Responsible for maintaining freezer and stocking incoming products as required
