Overview of Responsibilities:
At Sprouts Farmers Market, the Bakery Clerk is responsible for preparing and packaging all baked goods
Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
The Bakery Clerk is responsible for providing a high level of customer service and ensuring that Bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, always ensuring cleanliness of the Bakery department area
As a Bakery Clerk, you will maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves and products, keeping floors free of spills, removing hazardous debris from floor, and sweeping
Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of all bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality

Qualifications:
To be a Bakery Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market you must:
Be at least 18 years of age with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
Be dependable and reliable having the ability to work flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays.
Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior, have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with our customers.
Have good communication skills; and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
Be able to answer phones and take special orders
Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area (including tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.).
Be able to operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed. Uses knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products.
Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift. This role also requires vertically transferring trays up to 5 lbs., from 7” to 64” for up to 10 hours, and vertically/horizontally transferring items up to 40 lbs., from 5” to 36”, for a distance up to 36 feet for up to 10 hours without mechanical assistance.
Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations, while achieving and maintaining a Food Handlers permit.

Position Description:
Baker Positions at Crumbl are for people looking for a career in the bakery business. Whether you're looking for a steady paycheck doing something you love, or seeking a step up into leadership roles, this is great either way. A majority of Full-Time shifts will be early morning and/or daytime, with a lot of focus on dough production and decorating while assisting customers. Part-Time shifts will be mostly evenings and Saturdays (we are closed Sundays). The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Baker ensures that cakes of the highest quality are consistently created for our guests and contributes to superior service by meeting production demands. Following strict proprietary recipes, NbC production methods and food safety standards, the Baker perform the repeated baking process for our delicious cakes offered in a variety of flavors and sizes. Accountabilities/Duties:
* Follows NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieves productivity goals.
* Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes.
* Accurately prepares raw ingredients and equipment for baking, places cake pans into hot oven and monitors the baking process.
* Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintains baking and refrigeration logs.
* Assists Bakery Manager in the development of cake production plan monitors inventory of baking supplies and notifies management when supply replenishment is required.
* Evaluates raw ingredients and baked cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and informs management of any quality control issues.
* Cleans sanitizes and restocks the workstation and ensures all baking supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift.
* Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.
* Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.

* Understands basic units of measurement used in the U.S.

* Is able to operate commercial-grade ovens and other bakery equipment and work adjacent to a high-heat source.
* Is meticulous about using exact measurements, paying strict attention to timing and working on a tight, fast-paced production schedule.

Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements:
* Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
* While no formal education or work experience is required, previous experience as a Baker or in another operational support role at a bakery, restaurant or foodservice environment is a plus.
