Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility is to prepare and bake a variety of goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts, according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
This involves measuring and mixing ingredients, such as flour, sugar, yeast, and butter, to make doughs and batters.
Operating baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters safely and efficiently.
Ensuring that all baked goods meet quality standards in terms of taste, texture, appearance, and freshness.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Abide by all NBC policies and procedures
• Uphold NBC's image and brand
• Assist other departments when necessary
• Assist in utility department when dishes are dirty
• Put baked cakes away and rotate cakes in cooler according to NBC standards
• Maintain refrigeration logs
• Communicate with management about equipment including problems and maintenance
• Bake cakes in all sizes and flavors by diligently following recipes
• Remove cakes from pans and package properly
• Fold boxes and label containers
• Track inventory of baked goods
• Order and receive groceries
• Provide management with a daily production sheet
• Keep baking area clean and sanitized including tables, equipment and tools

Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements:
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• While no formal education or work experience is required, previous experience as a Baker or in another operational support role at a bakery, restaurant or foodservice environment is a plus.
Work Availability:
Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands.
