    Purpose of this role to is to provide needs evaluation and assessment for the specific purpose of determining eligibility for child care financial assistance; supplies information and referral for other needed or requested services. Minimum Qualifications Required Education: Associate's degree in Social Work (or related field) OR Bachelor's degree in Social Work (or related field) Required Experience: none Must have ability to read paystubs and calculate income Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of child development, state and local eligibility regulations for funding and child care services and child care licensing regulations. Ability to use good judgment in interpreting policies uniformly and fairly without regard to personal prejudice or opinion. Ability to tolerate different lifestyles, develop effective working relationships, and deal tactfully with clients, peers, and others; Ability to establish good rapport with parents, child care providers and CCRI staff. Ability to work well under stress and pressure of deadlines. Ability to adapt to administrative and policy changes. Good computer skills. Essential Functions Serves as agency intake/case management staff and determines the appropriateness of requests for financial assistance with child care services. Provides information on child care options; assists clients in arranging child care placement in the program of the parent's choice. Educates and assists families in addressing child care issues. Provides families with consumer information and resources available to enable them to achieve self-sufficiency (i.e. tax information, community resources, housing, etc.). Have director-delegated authority for certification of child care services, placement of children in appropriate child care situations, issuance of vouchers and closing of child care cases in a timely manner. (The impact of errors are: loss of revenue to the agency from errors in documentation, audit exceptions, etc.; unmet child care needs; customer/public alienation; and loss of manpower and time.) Uses own transportation to make periodic contacts and visits to centers, family child care homes and unregulated providers. Holds conferences with center directors, teachers, and parents as needed. Performs other duties as needed to further the agency's mission and goals. COVID-19 CCRI requires all employees to be COVID-19 vaccinated.
