Position Summary

Your Impact
As a Quality Assurance Analyst II on the Global Operations team at Axon, you will be directly involved in ensuring Axon products make it into the hands of its customers efficiently and effectively. * Manage, track, and evaluate operational activity and KPIs across Operations team; Improve real-time data visibility to the team for key metrics to drive continuous improvement.

* Perform ad hoc analysis for projects and day-to-day operations providing actionable data insights. Utilizes advanced expertise to solve complex technical problems & inform directional decisions.

* Promote the use of Automation in Analytics. Partner with various IT teams and Operational Excellence Automation COE to utilize the latest trends to leverage AI tools.
* Work as a member of a cross-functional team to propose and implement high-impact data and analytic solutions that address business challenges across Operations business units.
* Present complex information using data visualization techniques.
* Work with diverse technical and business teams and provide data and analytics oversight to ensure project deliverables fulfill business needs and timing.
* Bridge understanding of processes & best practices across Operations functions (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality) with back-end system data available to develop representative data solutions.
* Manage projects end-to-end throughout the Data Life Cycle. This includes capturing clear user requirements via user stories and other tools to best understand and enhance the user experience.
What You Bring
* B.S. degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Economics, Data Science or other quantitative field
* Requires at least 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 4 years and a Master's degree or technical program; or equivalent work experience.
* Big Data Tools:
* Advanced Power BI (Power Query) or similar data visualization software. Ability to write complex DAX functions.
* Advanced SQL Database experience, Ability to both interpret & write complex data queries.

The starting base pay for this role is between USD 147,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 235,200 in the highest geographic market. Your Impact
We build and ship products for law enforcement and the communities they serve on a national and global scale. You will be leading the development of the technology that will change society as a whole, while furthering Axon's mission of Protect Life and Capture Truth. You will work lead some of the best and brightest engineering teams across cameras, sensors, VR, and other domains to develop cutting edge products from start to finish while balancing complex tradeoffs. You will need to be agile, adaptive and creative to find the best solutions for the most critical products - to get to the best products in the market.
What You'll Do
Location: Onsite at our Scottsdale, AZ office 3 days a week
Reports to: VP of R&D Program Management
As Engineering Program Manager, you will be leading cross functional teams throughout the development cycle, driving critical decision making.
You will track and own your program budgets and schedule to ensure that we deliver the best possible product that meets our customers needs.
Be a driving force from early concept phases through launch, being a key stakeholder in all decisions.
Work with a diverse technical team; electrical design, mechanical design, industrial design, software, firmware, and manufacturing.
You will develop meet, build relationships and influence teams across the organization, making sure every stage of development is seamless.
You will be the owner and responsible to deliver a product suite that our customers love.
What You Bring
5+ years of relevant work experience in program management in hardware development.
5+ years of experience in building processes, project management, and schedule.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, business or equivalent work experience
Experience and strong understanding of basic engineering principles and development.
Understand and communicate complex, technical/Engineering issues.
Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies and program issues quickly and efficiently.
Ability to apply analytical thinking to product development needs.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve and prioritize.
A problem solving mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently, ability to multitask and thrive in fast-paced environment is crucial.

Your Impact
As a firmware engineer on the Enterprise Devices team, you will be intimately involved in the architecture decisions that will shape multiple products. You will live and breathe software for devices that require high stability and fast, consistent performance. You love working with the latest open source technologies, and can leverage your past experience and desire to learn to make the right technical decisions on a system that needs to be bullet-proof. As an engineering member on the team, you will make key design decisions that will shape our newest products.
You contribute to decisions that balance competing engineering trade-offs on projects you work on. Your empathy with customers allows you to intuitively create innovative solutions for our customer problems. You will be working closely with product managers and designers to ensure we are building the right solution for our customers.
Axon has lead the global effort to protect life through electric weapons, body warn cameras, a number of real-time sensors, public safety software products and AI tools. What You'll Do
Location: Work from home as much as you want, live nearby any of our awesome Boston office so you can easily collab in-person when it's helpful and be an active part of our vibrant Axon culture.
Reports to: Software Engineering Manager
Work with engineers on a breadth of platforms including desktop and cloud applications, as well as the embedded code.
Firmware design and development of wireless software for our next generation products
Own and drive end-to-end features with Product and Design
Ensure that your code hits a high bar for quality, performance, and security.
Influence peers, advise senior leaders, coach and mentor junior team members
Facilitate cross-team collaboration among engineers and contribute to the broader community of Axon engineers
Responsibility for unit and system testing
What You Bring
BA/BS in Computer Science or BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Past experience of at least 3+ years specifically in developing wireless software on embedded linux with real world experience of deploying wireless products and troubleshooting issues
Experience in embedded firmware with familiarity in C/C++, Python, Go and/or Rust
Experience in Embedded Linux.
Experience in documentation of design/interface specifications and architecture
Exposure to Yocto, OpenWRT and other embedded distros
Exposure to one or more wireless software stacks - LTE, WIFI, Bluetooth, GNSS, or any proprietary RF stack for Cellular and IoT type devices
Demonstrated ability to make tough technical decisions based on requirements, constraints, and trade-offs
Eagerness to follow the latest in software engineering and open source technologies

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 130,500 in the lowest geographic market and USD 208,800 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
