  • Labor And Employment (Management side) Attorney

    LHH 4.3company rating

    Attorney Job In Pittsburgh, PA

LHH is working with the Managing Partner (who is ex-Big Law), of a regional full-service Pittsburgh-based firm that is seeking a Labor & Employment (Management-side) Attorney for a succession planning opportunity. This is a true opportunity to lead the L&E group by stepping into an existing practice that can be further built up. The Partner retiring has already started to transition to Counsel and plans to retire in less than 2 years. The firm predominantly works with clients that are families and individuals with small businesses/closely held companies. The firm anticipates being able to fill someone's plate with at least 50% of their Labor & Employment work/matters. The ideal candidate will also have additional non-L&E specific experience and an interest in other practice areas, as the firm is not super silo-ed across practice areas/groups. It is anticipated that the right candidate will possess 5+ years of experience but because this is a succession planning opportunity, experience in years itself is highly valued and the right candidate could be much more experienced at the 20+ year mark. Although all attorneys are encouraged to bring in work for themselves/the firm, the firm's compensation is heavily tailored towards working credit (with less business development pressures). Therefore, a non-equity Partner is able to be very successful at the firm, without a significant book of business, and without hitting a "ceiling" like you may find in other platforms. The firm also offers freedom with bill rates. The firm's ideal billable hours are 1800 but the firm is happy with 1600 hours. The firm is a heavy in-office culture (no set work from home schedule) but has shown flexibility with work, life, family, etc. Academics are less important to the firm, as they are more interested in experience and ability. Compensation will be based on years of experience, with a range of $150K-$200K base compensation plus bonus. It is also worth noting that this firm does pride itself on hiring for folks "forever home." If interested, please apply today or contact me directly in confidence: *******************
