Ensure the facility meets or exceeds our expectations with regards to cleanliness and safety. Clean and sanitize all pet enclosures, exercise yards, and common areas.Mix and use disinfectants and other chemicals safely as instructed by the supervisor.
Ensure that the property is maintained (lawn care, snow removal, tree maintenance)
Alert manager when levels of inventory are low in the following areas:
Pet foods
Cleaning products for kenneling and lobby areas
Help maintain the cleanliness of the property by picking up and disposing of trash or debris. Keep aisles, drains, carts, shelves, sinks, floors, furniture, counters and glass clean, sanitary and free of clutter/debris. Empty and sanitize trash cans and receptacles.
Alert manager of any safety or operational issues ie: broken guillotine doors, burnt-out lights, not enough salt for snowy areas, etc.
Keep informed of important notices, meetings, etc. by consulting the "Guest Services Command Center"

Job Summary:
The Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for promoting the game of golf and the Club while providing the Three Steps of Service to the Members and guests. Responsible for providing quality service, ordering necessary merchandise, and managing the golf shop operations.
Day-to-Day:
Responsible for efficient and friendly customer service throughout the pro shop, accurately ringing up charges at the register and checking in all golfers prior to play. This also includes proper cash handling and meeting all standards of operation.
Respond to inquiries and make tee times for Members and guests both in-person and over the phone. Focus attention on Members' and guests' needs while remaining calm, professional, and courteous at all times, even when under pressure.
Responsible for inventory controls, merchandise check-in, and organization of storage and display areas. Keep up inventory levels of constantly stocked items (i.e., shirts, socks, gloves, hats, balls, etc.).
Responsible for marshaling, starting, and outside services as needed and requested.
Provide shop assistance to the Head Golf Professional, General Manager, and Tournament Coordinators.

Responsibilities:
Ensure that each guest is treated with respect and dignity
Ensure that all guests are receiving appropriate amounts of food and water, clean and sanitize food/water bowls on a daily basis.
Clean up dog poop, urination and any vomit several times throughout your shift
Walk dogs on leash to and from outside exercise areas.
Engage in play activities with pets including: fetch, exercise walks, chase, agility, follow the leader, recall and basic obedience games, etc.
Supervise activities of multiple dogs throughout the day
Monitor closely for any potential conflicts or escalations and redirect or remove one or more dogs from the situation as needed
Maintain a sanitary and healthy environment by following our standards of cleaning and disinfecting rooms
Monitor guest's health by daily charting of eating and elimination habits. Dispose of and clean up any stool and urine.
Monitor guest's reaction to playtimes and general demeanor by charting playtime interactions
Follow all standards of safety with regards to handling guests, particularly aggressive guests and escape artists
Pay specific attention to special handling notes, (Meds Person to Feed, Aggressive, Separate for Feeding, etc.)
Immediately alert front staff and resort manager when a guest is ill or exhibiting odd behavior - follow-up by filling out illness form and turning it into a shift lead/manager.
Operate washer and dryer to clean pet belongings, towels, etc. Ensure belongings are returned to the appropriate pet.
Ensure the facility meets or exceeds our expectations with regards to cleanliness and safety. Clean and sanitize all pet enclosures, exercise yards, and common areas.Mix and use disinfectants and other chemicals safely as instructed by the supervisor.
Ensure that the property is maintained (lawn care, snow removal, tree maintenance)
Alert manager when levels of inventory are low in the following areas:
Pet foods
Cleaning products for kenneling and lobby areas
Help maintain the cleanliness of the property by picking up and disposing of trash or debris. Keep aisles, drains, carts, shelves, sinks, floors, furniture, counters and glass clean, sanitary and free of clutter/debris. Empty and sanitize trash cans and receptacles.
Alert manager of any safety or operational issues ie: broken guillotine doors, burnt-out lights, not enough salt for snowy areas, etc.
Keep informed of important notices, meetings, etc. by consulting the "Guest Services Command Center"
Consult with other departments

* Ensures NOVA Parks safety, business standards, cleanliness and sanitation standards, and other standards inherent to the particular operation are being followed especially Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and Local Health Department standards.
* Assists with public relations by greeting park visitors, handling inquiries, providing information and assistance, and informing patrons of rules and regulations.
* Prepares and stocks beverage cart and sells food & beverages including alcoholic beverages (beer only).
* Prepare and oversee special functions (golf tournaments).
* Prepare and maintain appropriate records.
* Perform manual labor and routine maintenance as directed.
* Attend and participate in staff meetings and in-service training.
* Reports unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
* Carries out additional duties as assigned by the Park Manager or Supervisor on Duty.
Minimum Qualifications
* Must be minimum age of 21 (Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control requirement).
* Possession of or ability to obtain valid driver's license, must maintain safe driving record.
* Working knowledge of and experience in the operation of food service facilities.
* Working knowledge of current sanitation standard standards and ability to adhere to these standards.
* Must have certification or be able to obtain certification in the "Training for Intervention Program" (TIPS) for serving alcoholic beverages.
* Working knowledge of NOVA Parks standards and ability to adhere to these standards.
* Ability to deal effectively with the public.
* Ability to be flexible in meeting a variety of demands and conditions.
* Ability to handle money and maintain accurate records of transactions.
* Strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
* Ability to perform a variety of duties including custodial tasks such as washing beverage cart, checking fluid levels, emptying trash receptacles, etc.
* Availability to work a variable work schedule, which may include late hours, and weekends and holidays.
* Possession of or ability to obtain necessary licenses or certifications.
* Required to purchase and wear standard uniform.
