The Facility Attendant position would be focused on making sure our customers get their range balls, find their bay, and understand how Toptracer works so they can enjoy their golf range experience. The Facility Attendants will be experts at the technical side of Toptracer systems and will have the knowledge and the ability to explain the system with outstanding attention to detail. Inspects facility for cleanliness, safety, crowd control, customer service and protects against theft or damage of Wood Dale Park District property. May have to assist the range ball attendant employees keep up with range ball inventory to ensure a steady flow of balls for customers. Various other duties i.e., landscaping, garbage removal, and patio maintenance, as needed. Recognize that this position requires courteous, helpful, and responsive treatment to the golfing public at all times. Utilize communication devices (radio, telephone) in a professional manner (short, clear, and concise). Maintain a positive community image for the District and present self in a professional manner and appearance. Provide the customer with accurate information in all Park District communications. Keep work area neat and clean and assist in keeping the range and areas around the 390 Golf Experience facility clean and call attention to management of any maintenance issues needing addressing. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Promote Golf course Restaurant, Banquet and Special Events. Assist with making sure Rental Golf Clubs get to the proper bay(s). Must be pleasant, professional, and a mature individual with demonstrated skills in customer relations. Should have basic golf knowledge of golf rules and etiquette. Qualifications Requirements / Qualifications: Must have excellent communication, time management and organization skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to provide energy and enthusiasm when interacting and assisting patrons Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time including maneuvering up and down stairs. Ability to stoop and bend. Experience working in the golf business preferred, but not necessary. Be familiar with Employee Safety Manual and conduct one's duties in accordance with the policies and guidelines of the Park District's safety program. Wear appropriate Park District apparel or uniform Monitors the environment for safety concerns and corrects accordingly, informs Head Golf Professional, Supervisors, Maintenance staff and others of safety-related concerns and unsafe conditions. Monitors weather conditions and notifying management staff whenever lightning is sighted. Support, promote and make recommendations regarding all safety, health and loss control policies as adopted by the Park District. Respond to safety concerns, illnesses or injuries on the Range and contact emergency services as needed; notify Supervisor any time police or EMS personnel are engaged. Must have a valid IL driver's license. Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of: Previous experience in a customer service setting. Golf knowledge preferred but not required. Work Environment and Physical Demands: Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time. Requires physical activity, including but not limited to, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, bending, standing, and sitting. Must have physical stamina, temperatures can reach more than 95 degrees with high humidity, or below freezing temperatures. May include lifting items weighing more than 50 pounds.
