This role includes picking and cleaning range balls, maintaining the cleanliness of the facilities, staging and maintaining golf carts, and assisting with customer service needs. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Essential Job Duties Include, but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide excellent customer service to all customers, members, guests, and staff. Safely operate equipment to pick up and clean range balls. Maintain the driving range by keeping the grounds clean and collecting baskets. Ensure range balls are properly cleaned and ready for use. Manage the golf cart fleet by ensuring carts are clean, fueled/powered, and properly staged. Load and unload golf bags and assist patrons as needed. Maintain the cart staging area, ensuring carts are stocked with scorecards, pencils, and seed bottles. Perform weekly maintenance checks on golf carts. Keep the cart barn, clubhouse, and patio clean and organized. Assist with league preparation, special events, and party setups. Be knowledgeable about course details such as length, slope, and rating to assist patrons. Communicate with the Golf Shop and Starter to ensure smooth course operations. Maintain good personal appearance and hygiene. Assist with the security of the building and facilities. Perform other Park District-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in a golf course, club, hospitality, or customer service role is preferred but not required. Preferred knowledge and understanding of the game of golf. Willingness and ability to exhibit a professional and polite appearance at all times. Strong organizational skills. Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.
