Job Objective The Senior Scientist Tech Support role provides technical support to the Commercial, Marketing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and R&D functions to enhance value to the business. The Senior Scientist Tech Support will understand customer and market sector requirements. Responsible for the outputs of laboratory studies to establish and maintain a strong and positive market presence for INEOS Pigments' products. Reporting directly to the District Manager, this role plays a pivotal part in comprehensive forest management, participating in planning, permitting, timber harvest administration, road construction, silviculture, client reporting, and budgeting. Responsibilities: All aspects of fieldwork, office work, analysis, and reporting to landowner/client. Lead silviculture and reforestation planning, managing contracts efficiently. Perform all aspects of timber sale development, including timber marking, boundary establishment, and timber valuations. Design and secure permits for harvest unit layouts in a multifaceted regulatory landscape. Work with Federal, State and county government officials to help landowners meet their objectives. Supervision of contracted services, including certifying completion of work for payment. Oversee road construction, maintenance, permitting, and contract administration. Prepare timber sale bid notices and review timber sale contracts. Collaborate in budget development and management. Utilize Geographic Information System (GIS) for effective property management. Build and expand AFM's client base in the region. Fulfill other assignments from the District and Region Manager. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Forestry or related field OR Associate's Degree in Forestry. 5+ years of experience is preferred. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Experience in working with governmental agencies for both regulatory and financial assistance for landowners. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient team player with adaptability. Capability to work in challenging field conditions. Valid Driver's License with safe vehicle operation skills. Preferred experience with QGIS and ArcGIS software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Word and Excel.
