As a Supply Chain Engineer, you will be responsible for achieving corporate supply chain performance targets, focusing on inventory reduction, increased inventory turns, and improved order-to-delivery results. You will play a key role in deploying the Supply Chain Planning Process, developing the Plan for Every Part, and implementing Pull Replenishment methods for the facility. This hands-on position requires working effectively with diverse, multi-functional teams to develop lean material flow plans and make physical improvements on the shop floor. Responsibilities * Achieve corporate supply chain performance targets focusing on inventory reduction, increased inventory turns, and improved order-to-delivery results. * Deploy the Supply Chain Planning Process, developing the Plan for Every Part and Pull Replenishment methods for the facility. * Work with diverse, multi-functional teams to develop lean material flow plans, including changes to factory floor layout and material presentation. * Gather and analyze data on facility demand and demand variability for each part required for production. * Review, analyze, and clean data prior to migrating it into the Web Tool. * Lead Supply Chain Planning Analysts in documenting data into the Plan for Every Part web tool. * Create and maintain a site-level Flow Map for parts used in production. * Enable and coach facility employees to utilize templates to load and maintain data in the Web Tool. * Provide reports and information to facility resources requiring data. * Perform physical, tactical work across multiple functions to implement supply chain planning processes and develop a Plan for Every Part for every value stream in the facility. * Direct the work of Supply Chain Planning Analysts and lead others to deploy processes in the plant. * Make improvements required to attain MQ or similar Certification for a Value Stream. * Work with cross-functional teams to reduce or eliminate supply chain constraints inside a value stream. Essential Skills * Experience and knowledge of complex lean concepts and tools. * Experience and knowledge about CPS supply chain principles, specifically Pull Replenishment, Supply Chain Planning analytical tools, material flow, and throughput efficiency. * Strong understanding of common supply chain systems. * Knowledge of and/or experience deploying 6Sigma Project Management principles. * Leadership skills to effectively lead supply chain improvements while maintaining a strong focus on people. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: * Collect trash from waste containers and take collected trash outside to a dumpster. * Dust surfaces, damp wipe or wax furniture, clean and polish metal surfaces, clean window and door glass. * Clean and disinfect restroom fixtures; restock restroom dispensers ( paper towels, toilet tissue, hand soap, feminine products); mop restroom floors. * Dust mop or damp mop floors in entrances, lobbies halls, lounges, and other areas. * Vacuum carpet, furniture, or floors. * Maintain equipment, carts, and supply closets in a clean, orderly manner. * Order and restock cleaning supplies and paper products as needed. * Identify and report unsafe/unsanitary conditions, equipment repairs, and other problems to Area Manager. * Communicate with customer via logbook. * May be required to run floor buffer and/or floor scrubber. * Perform other related duties as required. * May be required to perform school summer work (if hired for a school): run floor buffer and/or floor scrubber, strip/wax floors, move furniture and perform any other necessary duties to complete the required summer work. *training will be provided QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to work independently and be self-motivated; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to perform manual tasks including lifting a maximum of 50 pounds. High school diploma or GED preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, pushing (vacuuming), pulling, carrying and lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires wearing a backpack vacuum. Must have good eyesight to see dust, dirt, and debris to be cleaned. MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to follow instructions and routine; able to read, write and measure cleaning products. Must be able to deal with interruptions/multiple demands and variable workload and volume. Knowledge of cleaning methods, products, tools and equipment a plus. Must pay attention to detail regarding quality cleaning practices as well as health and safety requirements. Communicate politely with customers and supervisors. WORKING CONDITIONS: The position will take place in either a office, school, factory or medical clinic work-place environment. Must go outdoors to dumpster in all kinds of weather.
