The Department of Psychiatry in the College of Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Professor and Chair (Medicine) (GFT). The successful candidate will:
Provide executive leadership, direction, and administration of the Department of Psychiatry in its College of Medicine (COM) to further the strategic mission of the department and larger institution, to impact the health and well-being of the underserved community SUNY Downstate serves in three main integrated directions: research, training, and clinical psychiatry.

The Division of Computer Science, Mathematics and Science offers 3 ABET accredited undergraduate degrees in Computer Science, Cyber Security Systems and Information Technology. The division is the leading unit at St. John's in AI studies. Research on AI is increasing in both quality and quantity. The Division of Computer Science, Mathematics and Science offers 3 ABET accredited undergraduate degrees in Computer Science, Cyber Security Systems and Information Technology. Additionally, it also offers undergraduate degrees in Networking Systems, and Healthcare Informatics, as well as master's degrees in Data Science, Computer Science, and Cyber and Information Security. The graduate degrees in Data Science and Cyber and Information Security were among the first universities and colleges recently awarded ABET accreditation.

The division is the leading unit at St. John's in AI studies. Research on AI is increasing in both quality and quantity. New AI classes have been introduced at all levels, from introductory courses for non-CS students to an undergraduate minor and the revamping of many graduate classes focused on Machine Learning. The Division is part of the AI alliance and assists in preparing students for the AWS AI professional certificate.
