Responsible for all facets of forklift operations including but not limited to loading and unloading transportation trucks of containers, kits, inventory or any other item being shipped or received including UPS and FedEx. Responsibilities may include any other forklift operations required within the production facility as needed. During slow periods, forklift operator may be required to perform other non-forklift duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Able to complete forklift training and safely operate a 21,000 lb. capacity forklift • Adhere to safety policies and perform all tasks in a safe manner including adherence to OSHA regulations • Complete daily forklift inspection reports and maintain records onsite • Fuel forklift • Maintain the forklift to ensure it is kept clean and in good repair • Schedule maintenance on the forklift • Able to maneuver large loads in a safe manner • Able to stack large loads in tight spaces without causing damage • Unload large items such as kits and roofs from sea containers with a stationary or portal dock • Load/unload containers from intermodal containers • Load/unload containers, kits, roofs, etc. from flatbed trailers • Load/unload shipments from van trailers • Able to move materials using hand cart and or pallet jack • Basic computer skills • Utilize TMW to add/print and time stamp waybills • Safely rig materials for lifting • Shop and yard clean up • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES • Typically reports to Management.
